My 3J's Nutrition Network Experience

Hey guys thought I would put something together about my experience with 3J's Nutrition Network so others can also benefit from his services. I'm hoping to make it easier for those who are not so sure or who are sitting on the fence about using his services to go ahead and take the plunge, you won't regret it.

Okay a little bit about me. I'm a 40 year old male who's been struggling with my body most of my adult life. I was diagnosed with anorexia 20 years ago. Don't get me wrong i'm no longer underweight but find it a struggle to put on mass due to the mental beleif that i'll become a fat ass if i eat over maintenance. So over the years I have become very strong in the gym but without much muscle mass to show for it.

Unfortunately due to the minimal amounts of food I would eat my body had no choice but to shut down testosterone production. My energy levels were zapped, I could hardly walk. After testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) treatment my energy began to improve and allowed me to get back into the gym. This is when I seeked 3J's services.

Initially I received a comprehensive questionnaire that gives 3J info about my body measurements, current diet, exercise routine, goals,etc. With this info he was able to build my diet.

Once my diet was built 3J would closely monitor my weight and measurements every second day to correctly establish my maintenance level. He then worked on increasing my metabolism due to me previously always eating under maintenance. Throughout this I would constantly fire off emails to him with my concerns etc about getting fat etc. a simple response from him would reassure me and allow me continue.

Once we established a healthy metabolism and maintenance calories 3J worked on increasing my calories gradually to allow me to build lean muscle. Well I can say its been 2 weeks now and I am up 6.4 pounds with minimal fat gain if any. I still fire off emails daily for reassurance but am able to continue due to support from his responses. Trust your nutritionist, trust your diet, you wont get fat he says

I'm very happy with my current progress, I still have to battle with low energy levels as my body has yet to fully recover from its 20 year ordeal but i'm slowly getting there and really just wanted to share with you the lengths 3J goes to help you acheive your goals. Excellent post brotha! I have only heard great things about 3j and if my next cutting cycle doesnt get me where I want to be then I will be callin his ass too! lol

Great to hear and you went with the right person to attain your goals. 3J knows his shit but more importantly he cares about his clients and helping people to reach their goals. Others may have the same knowledge as him but not the passion for making it happen.
And he makes him self availiable to clients were others set up a diet and you are on your own.

Cobra I'm not even gonna comment about you my friend. We all know where you get your cardio from so you shouldn't have to cut due to the amount of "cardio" you get. Haha. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to use 3J. You know how to get big but cutting can be difficult.
 
3J is the man! He helped me lean out from ~200 to 180 and in the past month add about 15 pounds of lean mass! Once I gain about 10-15 more natty, I'll hit my first cycle and leave a nice detailed review for him.

Hell yea I agree. Im starting my diet 3j made for me. The process was quick. Once I gave my stats from the questionnaire I had a diet plan the same day. Can't wait to see the progress I make. Thank you 3j

Minor setback, This illness is very sneaky, my cardio built up to 1.5 hours per day without me even thinking about it to compensate for the calorie increases we were making. 3J is onto it after he saw my weight gain had stalled for a couple of days and has limited me to max 20mins walking per day. Having a rest today and eating well. I'm now back on track and very motivated.

Hey guys up another 4.4 pounds now, thought i'd post some progress pics. Photo on left is when I started with 3J 3 weeks ago, photo on right is today. As you can see some excellent lean gains. What can I say he knows his stuff.
 
The diet 3J has me on is approx 3100 calories at the moment. Since dropping the crazy amount of cardio I was doing per day its become increasingly difficult both physically and emotionally for me to consume the calories. I'm basically having to eat when I'm not hungry which I am not at all used to. 3J is closely monitoring my weight and measurements to see how my body reacts to the calories after the reduction in cardio. He'll soon know whether we need to drop them slightly or not. Very comforting to know that I just need to follow his directions and he'll take care of the rest.

Severe Caffeine Withdrawal

Was drinking insane amounts of pepsi max ,gallons of the shit per day. I was too embarrassed to tell 3J until recently. Freaked him out a little err maybe a lot but brought new light to the reason why my energy levels were so low. After drinking that quantity of caffeine for about a year I had become severely dehydrated and bloated due to the body trying to hold on to every last ounce of water. NOt to mention the sugar alcohol effects on my body, nasty stuff.

3J's response Get off the shit now!!
Last 3 days have been difficult, basically fighting caffeine withdrawal, needing to sleep most of the day and just no energy.

This evening I'm feeling better, was still able to make it to the gym and consume my daily diet.
 
Skinfolds

My weight has stabilized at 159.5 still consuming 3100 calories. 3J convinced me to get my skinfolds done because I was believing I was getting fat. What I didn't realize was that even though your skinfolds may increase your lean body mass increases also hence body fat % doesn't change much at all.

Here are the results:

Tricep: 2.5mm

Suprailiac: 4mm
Midaxillary: 4mm

Body Fat %: 5.62
Lbs/Kgs of Body Fat: 8.96
Lean Body Weight: 150.54
Total Weight: 159.5

I couldn't beleive how low it was even if he's off he cant be that off lol. 3J said this was due to me being bloated. I went onto arimidex last nite to try and get rid of some of the bloat. Taking 0.5mg eod

3J thinks my energy levels are also low due to my low bodyfat levels. He basically said to me today "I wanted to up your calories but didn't want to mess with your head too much. It was about baby steps. Do you feel your ready to put on some weight" I got excited and scared at the same time.

I said "> How about you give me the directions and you let me sleep with it overnite then I'll know how comfortable I am, deep down I want to become strong as a bull and be healthy just anorexia can be tough, tell me what i need to do 3J and I'll have an answer for you once i dwell on it. Sorry its not that i don't want to do this just i want to say yes and mean yes.

I love going to the gym and being stronger every session, that has been happening which is fantastic. I know I can do better though....Your a legend!

Thanks 3J, after dwelling over it i wrote 3J the following email "well there's not much to think about i guess, I've reached the maximum in terms of strength gains in the gym with my current weight as i can hear my body screaming out for assistance lol on final reps, so the only way is up i guess lol, unless i want to just play with the same weights and cut up further which well um sounds boring. Lets do it my man" 3J was rapped.

Here's the deal, 3J has worked out my BMR to be 1837 My TDEE he worked out to be 2847 on days active like going to the gym.

In order to gain 1lb a week, you have to eat about 500 calories more a day so that puts my required calorie intake to 3347

I'm currently eating about 3100 calories so first step is to bump that up. As my weight increases he'll be bumping my calorie intake up.

In the meantime he'll be closely monitoring my weight and measurements to ensure i'm gaining lean body weight.

Exciting times :)
 
I received 3J's diet update last night. He's starting me off at 3400 calories for the next phase in my bulking program. Will be interesting, never in my wildest dreams did i think i'd be consuming 3400 calories. 3J will be closely monitoring to ensure only lean gains occur. Took attached photo last night
 
6 week mark

I'm alot more active throughout the day now since no longer having to sleep all day due to caffeine withdrawal, I'm glad that's over with. I was actually feeling hunger pains last night and wasn't able to sleep

Calories have now been increased to 3600 by 3J to counteract this, plus it was the next stage in our proposed diet plan anyhow.

My weight is steadily increasing, plus the bloat has also significantly reduced. Weight at start of program six weeks ago was 149.6, this morning I weighed in at 162.6 That's 13 pounds in 6 weeks, very happy with results. 3J is the man!!!:)
