My brother in Afghanistan, a helicopter just crashed in his area...

Zero V

Prodigal son
So yesterday I was talking to my brother who is a Marine. He suffered a severe injury and it destroyed his ACL, MCL, and meniscus of his left knee.

Well I was talking to him and the last thing he said was he had to go grab his bags to get ready for his medivac....

Then today I come home and see this post

Marine CH-53 crashes in Afghanistan, 6 dead - Marine Corps News | News from Afghanistan & Iraq - Marine Corps Times

Its in the exact area he was deployed, and its dangerously close to the time he got off of facebook with me...

My mind is going through hell...

Don't think yourself to death brother. Hopefully you'll find out some good news soon enough.

Damn brother horrible thing to think of but keep positive because there are tons of helicopters in that are so can be a slim chance brother. Think positive brother but I know its easier said than done but my prayers are for you and your Fam.

Finally got confirmation it was not him. It was in his area, and at the same time, but it was not his helicopter.

Still pray for those families who are going through the hardship of the loss right now.

I know I am thanking God he is safe. Though when he gets home, I am going to kill him. lol. I am getting too old for this crap.

That's good news for you but not good news. My prayers are for those who lost.

Please send your thoughts and prayers out to the families of MSgt Travis Riddick, and Cpl Reinhard of Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 363, and the families of the remaining 4 Marines that have not yet been identified......These guys were all either co-workers or friends of mine.
