my calf exercise

simple question..what do you think im better off doing for calves?

1. calf machine(sit down, and pad rests across thigh/knee)

2. after doing squats..add a few more weights and just do a set of 10 up and down, holding a for few seconds each time standing at top on my tippy-toes (does that make sense?)

weather u'r gifted or not ,I sugest start 100 rep standing and work u'r way to 300 reps evey other day, just standing and lift up ur own weight as u lift contract those calf don't cheate do this on every lift contract 1 second..
 
I would begin every calve workout w/ Stand Calve Raises 4 sets of 10-12. FULL ROM!!! All the way down, feeling the stretch, and exploding all the way up, holding the contraction. Then do the same for seated raises. That full ROM is key. Trust me
