So I spoke with Chip the other day, and will be starting my protocol in about 1 week or 2.

I'm just curious if anyone could help me better understand my most recent blood and saliva testing.

Estradiol 1.3 pg/ml 0.5-2.2

Progesterone 39 pg/ml 12-100

Testosterone 100 pg/ml 44-148

Dhea 4.5 ng/ml 2-23

Cortisol Morning 3 ng/ml 3.7-9.5

Cortisol Noon 1.4 ng/ml 1.2-3.0

Cortisol Evening 1.4 ng/ml 0.6-1.9

Coritsol Night 0.6 ng/ml 0.4-1.0

Free T4 1.2 ng/dL 0.7-2.5

Free T3 3.4 pg/ml 2.5-6.5

TSH 0.6 uU/ml 0.5-3.0

TPO 31 lU/ml 0-150(70-150 borderline)

Vitamin D, 25-OH, D2 ng/ml < 4 if not supplementing

Vitamin D, 25-OH D3 ng/ml 32-100

Vitamin D, 25-OH, Total ng/ml 32-100

Now I know my DHEA and Vitamin D(critically) is low..which I'm supplementing now. I have had low t since 2002,when I was 15. An aggrorant endo diagnosed me with Klinefelter's Syndrome. Thank god he did. A lot of folks are not even aware they have it.

Happy Holidays/ Merry Christmas!

Senas23, your cortisol is very low. It can be a bitch when it is that low and you start HRT. In the meantime, you need to balance/support your adrenals. Here is my recommendations in order to help your adrenals/cortisol, etc.

1. Make sure you are balancing your blood sugar. This is crucial. You need to eat every 2-3 hours. Nothing depletes cortisol quicker than making your body go into starvation mode. Eat around 5-6 meals per day.

2. Limit your carb/sugar intake. This can greatly help. Remember everytime you get a sugar/carb, you spike your blood sugar and cortisol is released to help regulate your body. Also, reduce your caffeine intake as well.

3. Get on some adrenal support supplements. Judging from your numbers, I would take a Licorice Root pill at around 8am and an adrenal glandular pill that has Cordyceps Sinensis Extract along with Vitamin B6, Rhodiola Root Extract, and Ginsenosides. Take this pill at 12pm. If you take an Adrenal Glandular pill, most of them have all that I mentioned above except the Licorice Root. Also, make sure you are taking 5000IUs of Vit D everyday. It can take some people up to 1 year to get those levels up. 5000ius is a good starting point and you can retest in a few months. Also, other supplements I would recommend is Magnesium, Selenium, Fish Oil, all Active B vitamins, and Vitamin C.

Doing the above helps to achieve healthy cortisol metabolism. Good luck!!

Thanks for posting! I'm taking 5000ui daily now. I read a book that addresses adrenal fatigue, so I have majority of the supps you've mentioned. I just need to time them right.
