My Syrus Cytest has crystals???

Hey I just received my Syrus Cytest 250 & everything looks good....except that in one of the bottles, it looks to be about 3 tiny crystals in the solution. There also looks to be tiny hair-line crystals all in the solution if you look very close. Is this what they call crashing, & if so, should i just insert a needle into the bottle & heat it up on the stove? Thanks, any input is greatly appreciated.

I've only had crystals in something once before, it was deca from another lab, turns out it was a bad batch and they replaced the entire batch, so I cant see that being a really good thing

Oh great...not what I wanted to hear. :bawling:

But, I have heard that low temperature could cause the crystals to form, and that you can just heat it on the stove & they should disapear.

I don't think I got screwed. I hope that I didn't. One of the bottles to me looks perfect, the other has crystals. Hmm.......

I looked on the labels & they are both from different batches. Only 1 apart, so that could be the reason. I think I will heat them up and see what happens.

Is this normal though?

Nothing to be worried about, syrus cyp has a tendency to fall out of solution especially when shipped in cold weather.

Heat it on a stove top for 20-30 secs, swirl and shake and place it back on the stove for 20-30 secs, repeat if necessary. Let us know how it goes.

As far as different batches, could be different % of solvents was used

Thanks for the reply BigAndy. I will try this and see how it goes.

Should I place it in a little bit of water in a saucepan, or just directly onto the stove? And what heat do recommend it being on? Thanks for the help!

put frying pan on element....put heat on medium and put the vial on the frying pan....swirl every 10 seconds and do not leave the vial on the heat and walk away! the shit will burn....

No need for water bro, put the frying pan on medium heat, let it heat up for a few minutes and place the vial on the pan. Let it sit for 20 secs or so and then swirl and shake vigorously. Put it back on the frying pan for another 10-20 secs, swirl and shake, repeat as necessary. It really doesn't take much heat so don't overdo it.

Let us know how it goes.

This guy had the same problem:
