Im willing to give up my normal workouts and w.e else it takes to get in top shape. Im going to be joining the infantry reserves in sept and want to start training now for it. My pull-ups are pathetic and pushups aren't that great either.

Whats a routine i could do to solely improve running (i was thinking of doing some sort of sprint and long distance thing), push-ups, and pull-ups?

ive been in the military for about 2 years now, and i'll tell you first hand, the best thing for getting beter at pushups, pull ups, and running, are pushups, pull ups, and running. but if you are looking for exercises to help, i found that with pull ups a little help from a spotter to get you that last rep, is a wonderfull thing. also, if you cant do more than 5-6 pull ups with out help, you might try lat pull downs with a lighter weight and do high reps to build up your muscular endurance. with push ups try flat DB press, again use a lighter weight and go for higher reps. with running, you might try some knee extensions and ham curls, but id just stick to running. start out slow, and gradualy increase distance and pace. if you want, PM me and ill give you a great PT program, alot of the special forces use it, and it works great. good luck
