What's going on everyone. I need advice. I'm 29 yrs old. Haven't been able to walk for 31 months. Had 5 major quad rupture surgeries. Finally got cleared to do upper body. I'm still in a full leg cast. I gained 60lbs over the course of this time span. I currently weigh 300lbs. I was a college football player and marine. I've never had to lose weight I don't know the first thing about it. I was naturally gifted and never really had to train. So with that being said. I was just given a cycle of test p 150 and e250. Will that help me at all that I can't run or do cardio yet? Will I be wasting my time. I need to get down to 205/215. What should I do. I was told to take p150 every other day and e250 twice a week. Any thoughts?

This is a touchy one. And I don't have much time. But I'll come back to elaborate. Good on you for starting some research. There is a wealth of information available for people I similar situations. Start reading. Youll get there. What did u do in the marines? I can RELATE to you. And coming off an injury after a lengthy recovery has its challenges for sure.
I will say this. Start increase daily activity as well as focus on diet/ proper nutrition. Use your time of immobility to focus on reading and research to set yourself for success. for now start small. Movement will increase TDEE and let's face it, that's what you need. Burning calories. Are you considering it even a candidate for any kind of physical therapy? I would immediately suggest swimming but with a cast still on your leg it'll have to wait.

And IMHO you can find a drawer or cabinet somewhere and put those vials of test in it. And leave them there. Until we can get you going down the right road. Welcome to ology and please go through the pertinent stickies and FAQ. Right now gear is not your best option. You have much reading to do. But if you do your part. Many of us here will help with questions and advice along the way.
So pull up a chair..or wheelchair in your case and start reading. I'll be here to help. I'm a vet too man. And like I said I can relate.

I'm sorry to hear about the surgerys and I wish you a speedy recovery. Diet is everything right now. Watch what you eat and you'll feel and look better. Best of luck!
