Need advice on HCG injections since I will be adding

Hey everyone,

My Dr. wants me to add HCG to my routine and I've never used it before so was wondering how others are doing it. He wants me taking it twice a week. Do you draw the HCG w/ your Test Cyp on days when the two overlap, or do you always take the HCG separately?

If separately, what location and needle gauge is necessary?

There really isn't a consensus on what is the absolute best way to use hCG. Everybody has their own opinion on the matter.

Dr. Crissler recommends 250iu subQ on days 5 and 6 after your T injection (assuming you're injecting T once per week).

Other people like to space it out a bit more, and sometimes in doses up to 500iu per injection.

Most people inject subQ in their stomach with an insulin needle.

You can mix it in the same syringe as your test and do just one IM injection. I tried this a few times but I prefer to do them separately. I inject the test and hCG on the same day as it is easier for me to remember. I am big on easy to remember even if it may not be the perfectly ideal timing.

I inject 250iu subcutaneously twice a week. I use a 31g insulin needle.

I like the Dr. Crisler method so far. 250iu subq on days 5 and 6 after Test injection. I'm only 5 weeks in, but so far it keeps my testes feeling full, and it hasn't jacked up my estrogen at all. The timing really makes sense to me Test peaks between days 2 and 3 after injection(or so I've read), it's starting to come back down by day 4, 5, 6, etc. On day 5 you get a boost from the HCG, and Day 6. HCG's half life is 72 hours, so one HCG injection is halfed on Sunday, the other on Monday, right as your the test is peaking. This to me makes sense that it keeps your Test level more stable, and won't raise estrogen even higher by having the Test and HCG together.

Of course there are plenty of people like Megatron that do their Test and HCG injection on the same day and are fine. So, it's really all about what makes sense, and what your blood work tells you.
