Need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) injection frequency help

Need TRT injection frequency help

Hello,
I posted a few months back and am checking back in and looking for advice. I am a 39 yom who has worked out all my life. I did one cycle of Test Enanthate almost 20 years ago but was not an abuser. My Doc attributed my low T to the fact I have varic ocele veins in my nuts which lower sperm count/test levels.Went in with all the usual symptoms and was checked for low T. First test came back low 200 range. Doc put me on sublingual troche for one month and then Tested me again and I was 120. Started bi monthly shots of 200 mg test Cypionate. I started feeling slightly better but nothing amazing. After one month the Doc checked me and I was back in low 200 range so he switched me to every 10 days. One month later he checked my levels and I was 430. Anyway, all this time I was having to go in for the shots. No copayment every time but still a nuisance. I got him to let me start doing it myself and now that I have it at home I want to go every 5 days because everything I read on here says that's the way to go so I want to try it. My Doc wrote me a scrip for 18 and 22 gauge 1.5 inch needles. Do I just go .5 ml every 5 days and do I just alternate butt cheeks or do I go other places as well. Also does it matter which needle size. I don't know why he gave me two sizes. On a plus side my strength has gone through the freakin roof. Thanks for any and all help and advice.

Now you can take control.

I do my shots monday morning and thursday night and cycle between delts. You dont have to be so pedantic. Every 5 days will be a fine starting point.

I would use the 18g for drawing only, and would not stick anything smaller than a 25 in me. Get some 25g needles online.

Im not sure your dosage at .5ml, but you want to start between 110-140mgs every 5 days. Should be a decent starting point.

Have you been watching estrogen too? Talk to your dr about estrogen if its rising >35.

The bigger gauge needles are for drawing and the smaller ones are for injecting. If you are going to inject into your quad, I wouldn't use 1.5" needles. Try 1" instead. The 1.5" is fine for drawing the Test Cyp though. In my experience, you won't have to go back to the doctor to get different sized needles. Your pharmacy should be willing to just give you whichever ones you ask for. Try some different sizes out if you like. Once you figure out what works well for you order a box of 100 and you will save some money in the long run.

Exactly what Red says. Precisely. (Except I wouldn't stick anything bigger than 25g in me!)

I've had 100% painless pins on delts, pain in quads and belly. I don't experiment any more - besides, delts are so easy.

Personally I prefer 27g on my quads. I don't even warm up the test. It takes a bit longer to push it all through but I get 0 pain during and post injection.

You need to do at least weekly and starting at .5ml or 100mg would work. I used a 23g and worked pretty good I rotated between quads and butt checks, no pain in butt small pain in quads. I ended up going every 6 days and that worked great.

I was doing 22G in quads but post injection was very painful. I switched to 27G and much happier. I use the 22G to draw the solution in and then switch needles. I am about go from weekly to sat. 9am & Tues. 9pm because my back is starting to break out. I hope that helps.
