Needle too long?

So I got my shipment of needles and syringes in the mail today..

I got 1" needles going to inject into the side of my thigh. Looking at it.. I think it's going to hit my bone or damn close to it..

I have no fat on my legs.. as in I can't pinch my leg when I stand. Is it possible a 1" needle is long enough to hit the bone?

I know a few of you will get a good chuckle out of this so for that, you're welcome :tounge2:

EDIT: Should probably also mention I'm 5'10, 185lbs.

ive never heard of the needle long enough to hit ur bone in your thigh, maybe u skipping too leg days :P and got no muscle?

In all honesty 1" isnt very long, even for people with thin legs. A lot of people even use 1" in delts. Although I guess it is possible (be it unlikely) that they could be too long for you, only way to know is to try it out. If they happen to be too long, just buy new needles, or go for a glute injection. They wont be too long for glutes!

Never skip legs! I squat 300+ lbs for 5reps so there's at least a little muscle there I hope

If anything I just wont insert the needle the entire way I guess

Put your middle finger on your hip bone and stretch your thumb along your waist line. Your thumb will help you with this. Go down an inch or 1.5 and that is the first spot. The other one is a little short of that and a touch down farther. You won't hit anything there.

I bet you won't even feel it. This gives you 4 spots to inject into. If you go 2x per week you will have no issues.

Problem solved

I deal with needles daily (FF/Paramedic), I can tell you there's no way a 1" pin will hit your bone - even with lean legs. I know what you mean... if you sit there and stare at it your mind starts to wonder. Just make sure you go for the outer portion of your quad (vastus lateralis) - and you'll be good to go.

1 inch too long for QUADS? Not sure if serious...

dis you brah?

If you manage to hit your femur with a 1" pin, that's probably a good sign to put off the idea of using gear.

Good to see another Fire Medic on the board.

No freaking way will you hit bone with 1" pin for quad. Unless you are an anorexic girl and should not be cycling anyway.1½" for glutes. 1" for delts / quads. I use 1/2" for pec, bi and tri shots. I have yet to shoot calves, lats or traps.

You're a brave man for pinning your tris and bis. It's like Redline said, you sit there and you're mind starts to wander .
