Hey guys I'm new here and was hoping some of you could help me out. I have been lifting for about 5 years and i can't seem to develope a very big chest. I workout tremendously hard during my chest workouts and I never see any change. Any workout changes I could make or any other ideas? I would greatly appriciate any help! THANKS!

To be honest I haven't ever really had a set diet, I try to put in about 5000 to 6000 cals a day and try to get in as much protien as possible. should I have a balanced diet, or an specific things I should be eating?

5-6kcals??? are you guessng on thiis number? if you ar write everything down that you eat for the week and tally all the clas each day and see what you come up with..

As far as your chest not growing why dont you post up your routine and we can tweak it for you..im guessing your doing too much volume and that gainng strength will allow you to add some new size on

1000 calories 6 times a day is no joke, I too would question that number. I've eaten that much before, and I tell ya I go through a LOT of toilet paper, I got to 268 before backing down the calories.

Ya a just started trying to put in that many cals and its crazy, I dont think I pull it off!
my routine consist of this,
dumbell bench press 4x8
dumbell incline press 4x8
incline cable fly 4x8
cable uppercuts 4x8
that about it, I try not to over do it but maybe I'm doing the wrong exercises or not enough exercises. thanks for the replies so far guys!

Hmmm.....16 sets isn't TOO bad.

How have your strength levels changed over that time? If you're not getting any stronger, then you likely won't get any bigger either.

gotta do some barbell benchs here and there bro it brings your strength up.. i only do them every 3 weeks but in doing so everytime i come back to them i atleast go up 10 lbs.. strength =mass diet=strength.. ya know

i'm curious as to how much weight you are using btw.
if your strength isn't progressing either, that could be a problem.

I'm 5'10'' and wiegh about 175 and on my dumbell incline and bench presses I start out using 70 and increase 5 pounds per set and end up at 85's. I have kinda hit a plateau in my strength gains without using any supplements. But the thing that I have been noticing is my back and shoulders have got a lot big bigger since using dumbells. that really doesn't make too much sence, but I think I have been using a lot of my shoulders when lifting the dumbell during my incline and bench presses. Any thoughts?

try doing weighted dips super slow with good form--they are a great chest builder and might just mix things up enough to spur on a new growth spurt.
