are you going up in the weight lifted?

im getting stronger...but i view soreness as positive feedback and i havent got it in a while(just on back)

soreness is not indicative of anything..
however i cant beleive that if you are doing heavy compund moves that you dont experience some soreness..this doesnt mean that you cant move..

if your weights and/or reps are climbing then you should be seeing progress

Post your Back workouts and you'll get you some help.

lat puldowns, pull ups, chin ups, dead lifts, seated rows, power cleans(more for shoulders but lower back also)...and a ton of others i just feel that with heavy weight i tend to lose form on back movements and then when i lessen the weight i feel like im doing shit. u know?

Have you ever tried straight-arm pulldowns? If nothing is making your back sore (even deadlifts!) then you might just take a short break, unless you've done that recently.

if your not sore after deads then theres something wronge.... do the most weight possible while keeping your form in check. you need to push beyoned your limits sometimes.

After I'm on for 3 or 4 weeks I usually don't get sore anymore for the most part. Now I will sometimes get sore if I'm doing higher reps for a week or two and then switch to heavier weights and sometimes from switching exercises.

Soreness is not necessary for muscle growth. Soreness is indicative of inflammation, not necessarily microtrauma of the muscle...

As soon as I hit 'no more aches' it's an indicator to change the routine for me. I change my days, and blitz whichever muscle group has got used to things. I've had no aches or increase in weight on legs for around two weeks, so when doing legs last week I hit 10 sets of leg press to wake them up a little.

Oh they were aching for around 4 days, only just gone off actually....

This usually helps me get the weight up next leg sessions, and with the weight going up the aches are usually back!
