NOT AIDS DRUGS BUT................
Here are 2 that are being experimented with by BB'ers that are new(er)..........
2. AOD9604--This advanced obesity drug is currently in trials. R&D
by Metabolic Pharmaceuticals LTD, Australia and manufactured by BresaGen,
Australia, it is an isolated fragment of the HGH. It is being developed
as an oral medication. The med will be taken once a day and the retail
cost will be about $3.00 per tab. It works by inhibiting fat storage
and by stimulating lipolysis. It is projected to get to market by 2007.
I am sure that it will be a prescription medication. Phase I and Phase
II trials are complete. Phase III will be the largest and longest. The
average fat loss on this med is 2.2 lbs per week for 35 and older--and
this is without dieting. The fat loss for those below 35 is slightly
lower. The reason it was developed was because of the side effects of
HGH--insulin resistance and organ growth. I am sure that the need to
do daily injections was a factor as well. I will keep you updated as
I read developments. With this and Long R3 IGF-1, major changes will
be seen.
3. Strattera (atomoxetine)--this is a new, FDA-approved med for ADHD
(attention deficit disorder). It is the first non-stimulant. It is
a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It treats all symptoms of ADHD.
It is a non-controlled substance
