New and in need of some advice on TRT

Hi guys, glad to be here amongst those who have knowledge on this form of therapy. I'm from uk where there aren't many clinics/doctors that specialize or know much about testosterone treatment and doctors want to treat you like you're a fool.

A few years back I was on medication for which reduced my libido and made me feel depressed. I now feel a little bit better but still suffer problems

The psychiatrists tried lots of antidepressants which didn;t do a thing to get me better but gave me horrible side effects so stopped and don't ever intend to try anymore.

I suffer from extreme fatigue where I have to take naps during the day and wake up exhausted even after 8 hours sleep through the night. Also get headaches, have brain fog, and memory problems along with reduced sex drive.

So I got tested around a year go which I requested and my test total came back 523ng. I was told it was normal by my family doctor however reading levels for my age online it says it should be 800-1000 as I'm 25. A 40 year old should be within 500 not someone and as yougn as I am shouldn't be experiencing these problems.

I'm due to get another check up with a testosterone clinic next week with a more thorough blood test, as even though I did blood tests before I never got free testosteron reading, thyroid, dhea or LTH readings back,

Do you guys think I would qualify for treatment? I don't mind doing it even if it's for life because I want to feel better and tried so many things that havn't worked I'm hoping this is the key to solving the puzzle. Also if I did would I need to supplement it with HCG?

re

Well i can tell you i just recently got tested for total t and it came back 350. Keep in mind i've never ran a cycle, 23, and in pretty good shape. Doctor says "your fine".
Just got more comprehensive blood done today with free test, lh, fsh, etc. , hope to get results soon. Funny though, doctor and nurses i spoke with kept asking me why i wanted bloods done. They go, "your in the normal range, you are fine!"

So if it was my doctor, you'd have no chance....but maybe your luckier

If you do testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) without Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) your testes will stop producing their own testosterone, and atrophy. It really depends on your doctor, some will say you qualify, some won't. I don't know if UK is out of Chips district but if it isn't id join up with Maximus. These guys know there stuff and want to make you the best you can be. By the way I'm in the 400's and my doc would not qualify me for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and I'm 20, not only that but no HRT at all, not even HCG. They just told me I was fine, although its number I told them I was having similar symptoms as yourself, and they still didn't care.

I wouldnt think a mid-average level of test (523) would be low enough to cause any symptoms, I knew they didn't really hit me until I was sub 200 for total test. I guess everyone's body reacts different though.

Have you been tested for sleep issues? How about tyroid?

No not been tested for sleep issues. I generally sleep fine just never feel refreshed and rarely have the motivation to work out as much as before I got sick.

Going to have thyroid tested when i see a new doctor next week who specialises in T therapy and hopefully he can give me a run on T to help put me back up to the high ranges. I called one place and told me they only treat grandpas and wouldn't treat someone as young as me whihc I thought was quite ageist, but this new place I'm going to says it's not a problem of my age.

I'm sure before I was put on medication my t levels were up in the 700 range and didn't suffer from any problems such as lack fo energy, low libido. In fact the opposite.

I do think its got something to do it as when I work out, after I feel pumped with more energy and feel the sex drive come back but then flutters away after a day and back to square one.
