NEw bicep routine to try

I call it the 5x5x5

It's 25 sets, 100 reps

HEre it goes.

Dropsets with straight bar.
put 4, 10pound weight on each side. and do 5x5x5x5x5 dropping a plaste each time. Do 5 sets of this.

wicked :)
 
This was my latest bicep routine

Jan 7 2005 3x10 hammer curls

March 12 2005 same

Oct 13 2005 same

need to fit some more in this next couple months.




















Dates may be altered but that is about accurate, lol.

Maybve you didn't get it. It's really 5 drop sets. But you drop 4 plates and end up with the bar on each set so in actuallity it is 25 sets.

Anyway. My arms are almost 19" in circumference so I mustbe doing something right.

i thought you were a power lifter? and whats "almost 19"? mine are 19 and i dont curl. does that man im doing something right?

almost 19" is 18 11/16 measured with a GNC tape. I'll get some pics up.

So is the general consesnus that this workout sucks?

As far as being a powerlifter. I suppose right now I am. My 1st comp is next saterday. I'm opening with 345. I did a steam lined wormup yesterday and hit my opener. Then did 385 just for fun.

Arm work is over-rated. Most major compounds hit your arms sufficently, in my opinion.

I don't always work arms exclusively week to week but if I do I think this bicep routine rocks. If 3 guys do it yyour in and out in 1 hour flat and your arms are blown to pieces.

I have done stuff like this in the past. I will be honest, nothing seemed to make a difference in my arms. The stronger i got in bi exercises the bigger my arms got, but exercise selection or the routine never mattered much. Probably the only bodypart that was like that.
 
just because something gets "blown to pieces" doesnt mean shit. I could do 100 sets of BB bench press with just the bar, and my chest and arms would be pumped as fuck, but how much progress do you think i would be making towards new muscle/strength?

Probably none, but then again that's not what I was doing here. I was doing a high volume, high intensity and high weight w/o.
 
i rowed 365 for 5 last week thought about doing but biceps but passed and went home lol....


nothing wrong with doing direct bicep work..i just dont think you need a full day devoted to it nor doy uo need a 1 hour bicep workout

OMG, It is a 5 set workout that takes about 20min tops. It's the drop sets that in theory would total 25 sets.
