New here and very scared

hi,
i have a very important question. i am not a body builder, but i need a answer please.
i was given a pituitary homeopathy tonic to help with a pituitary disease i have. i absolutely CANNOT take any form of steroids. in this tonic is adenosine triphosphate. i guess you call it ADT. i already took some today. Does this hit steroid receptors? is it a steroid? if i have to go through one more detox off of a steroid, i will probably die. i know this sounds ridiculous, but this is how my body reacts to steroids. i know i don't belong here (lol) but need someone's expertise on this. THought this was the best place to come. please help me.

Thanks much,
mamie

i did do some research and it is very conflicting. it says it's a molecule that is made up of sugar, etc.. i am 50. But the more i did research, i'm getting conflicting stories. so i thougt i would come here and ask? Do you know or anyone?

Thanks much.

It's not a steroid. Did you talk to your doctor about it. Most steroids don't have detox issues.

I think the issue here is an existing medical condition where steroids react adversely in their body. She is taking ATP(the bodies raw currency of energy) for once condition and was worried if it would act upon any steroid based receptors.

yes, that's it. i was wondering if would act on any steroid based receptors. Does anyone know? so sorry, but need the help.

Thanks.

Thanks for asking. i take a benzodiazepine for anxiety. Benzo's act on steroid receptors. This i know for sure. or steroid's act on benzo receptors. When i was put on hydrocortisone, and taking a benzo at the same time they started to interact. This was the most tremendous experience i have ever had in my life. it first started with a anxiety that would chill me to the bone. paced the house for 18 hrs. When i put two and two together, i realized the meds were interacting. They are cross tolerant. i stopped the HC, and went through 4 months of withdrawl from the HC. Thoughts and physical things I cannot even put into words. I can't go through that again. This also included, progesterone, estrogen, etc. anything steroidal. i know it's strange, but it's true. on my benzo forum, it's happened to other people as well. They are simply cross tolerant at the receptor site. So, with this tonic a np gave me, i looked up ATP, and at first found what it was, about Dna, rna, and then I started doing more reseach, and found conflicting evidence. i thought i would come here and ask about it since you guys know about steroids.

Thanks..

What is it that you are afraid of exactly?

how do you know this HULK if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks,
mamie

ATP is produced via cellular respiration. What ATP is is the bodies energy source. Its raw energy. Its been awhile since Biology but I still remember a bit about ATP.

It should be 100% fine and not act upon any steroidal receptors, its the energy source of your cells...cell food is maybe a better way to think of it?

My question is, why are you taking exogenous ATP? Is it doctor prescribed? Or did someone tell you it will help you with something, but they were not a professional care giver?

If your into fitness do some research on ATP, you would be amazed at the fact that its literally the reason you can lift a weight...or for that matter even breath. Its the essence of life.

Scrap that I will make a thread a little later dedicated to ATP, an explanation of it, its creation cycles, and why its important, biological functions, and so on. As well as posting it in here, but I can assure you ATP will not effect said receptors.

Thank you for the explanation.
There are some very talented folks on here that should be able to help you.
Blessings to you

Zero,
thank you so much for making a thread and its explanation. What will you call it so I can recognize it, and what would it be under? the tonic is for my pituitary gland. lol.. it's homeopathic. i don't think it will be as strong for you. lol. But thanks so very much. i will be looking for your thread.
Still trying to navigate around here. they moved my thread and i had to search for it.
The tonic has other stuff in it to try and calm me down. BUT, i caught that it has atp in it. i will tell you what though. it sure did give me energy. even lasting into today. i got it from a naturopath trying to help the pituitary gland. so you can see from my explanation why i am so afraid of steroids. i know i'm in the wrong place, but i have gotten some help. Thanks,
Mamie

I will post all the info directly into here, I am confused personally as where to post such a thread...since ATP is overlooked lol.

Homeopathic remedies can work wonders sometimes. Crazy old ladies who grind up things and make potions, I have seen it help friends in ways the doctors could not. The body is capable of many great feats, IF you provide it with the right materials.

I did not want the tonic, but was worried you was getting one of them funky products pushed on you. ATP to me has always been injectable, I did not know of oral consumption of it....I do not know if it would even survive the stomach, but if your feeling great then thats what matters.

Its always a good thing to research everything you put into your body though, like you are doing here. Even an expert in herbalism can only see so far into a concoctions effects.
