Hello Ladies,
I have been reading the forums for quite a while, not sure why I haven't mustered the courage to jump in sooner because my impression from what I have read so far is that the frequent 'posters' are very down to earth, knowledgeable and passionate about bodybuilding. It is really refreshing to pick up on the underlying tone of support and enthusiasm that seems present as I read, thanks for that.
A bit about myself. I have been lifting on and off over several years (spent many of them not really knowing what I was doing). I met up with a personal trainer two years ago who thought I had a lot of potential and really encouraged me to train hard. She was the first one who ever mentioned thinking about entering into competition. After about a year, I took her advice and decided to compete in 2004. I was targeting the ANBC NJ Natural, however, there was never any announcement of a show. Talk about disappointment. Another friend of mine suggested the 2004 NPC Mid-Atlantic Natural Classic. I did it. I placed and I want to do it again in 2005.
I want to change a few things (diet, pre-contest especially); have a lot of questions (supplements and vitamins); and just want to run things by women who have good insights and fresh information. This is essentially what brought me to Steriodology.
Thanks in advance
