New trt patient treatment analysis

Just started trt
First injection was yesterday.
200mg every other week.
Clomid 25mg every other week Saturday and sunday

I'm 33 yrs old
Bodybuild train 5 days a week.
Gaining muscle and size has always been a struggle
Weight 185 5'11"
Baseline bloodwork
Free test was 287
Total test was 9
Labcorp

Last week dr wanted me to take 50mg clomid for a week and then run another blood test.
After clomid week treatment. My free test level is 430.
Dr wants to preserve my testes.
I'm trying to understand if clomid in dr dosing will work to preserve testes function?
He had to consult with his other colleagues to come up with this treatment since I'm his youngest patient.

Welcome to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) Club, it has been life changing for me as well as many others! From my short time on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and learning about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I can give this bit of advice, getting an injection every two weeks is going to be very difficult to handle. You will get a nice spike from the injection and then experience a crash that will last about a week, not a pleasant way to live. I personally get my injection once a week but it is highly recommended to get two injections per week (every 3.5 days) to keep your levels consistent. I am currently trying to convince my doctor to do bi-weekly injections but he has not come around to that yet. Watch your E2; having high or low E2 is just as miserable as having low T.

Good Luck!

Doing injections every 2 weeks may send you on an emotional roller coaster. To top it off you are taking Clomid and that can act like an estrogen in the body, contributing to more side effects.

Sounds like your doc needs a crash course in good testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) programs.

Dr told me we can do 100mg weekly but according to his chart I will just be steady free test of 500
By doing 200mg eow I'll jump to high normal levels n taper down to free test of 500-600.
We discussed Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) usage but at no dosage as of yet.
He rather me use up rest of my clomid in this regiment.
My estrogen is at 30

Honestly, everything your doctor has told you contradicts everything that I have learned from my research and study of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for my own treatment, you might want to consider finding a new doctor. I am curious, what type of doctor is he, it does make a difference?

Your E2 may be at 30 now, but once you take the injection and you get the huge spike in Test, your E2 is also going to clime unless you are using a AI.

According to him 100mg weekly injections wouldn't provide me with enough test.
Does anyone think clomid every other week will preserve my testes?

No its not doing anything for you at all. 100mg a week will make your peak TT levels 1,000 ng/dl and your trough 500 ng/dl roughly.

Your doc is clueless.

I think you are getting Total Test and Free Test numbers confused.

I too agree your doctors protocol is bad. I would encourage to read everything in this testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum to hear other guy's experiences. You can choose to learn vicariously or learn the hard way through your own personal experience.

My total test at first blood work is 287 ng/dl
My free test is 9
Yes. I apologize. I wrote those test results incorrect.
I prefer weekly dosing.
According to his example chart 100mg/week wasn't gonna provide me with high enough test levels.

Are you saying that 100mg/week was gonna provide me with an average of steady 1000 ng/dl ?

My dr is green when it comes to me. I am his youngest patient receiving trt.
He consulted with another dr to come up with this protocol.

How many times we have to tell you. weekly injections are way better. You will get more stable test levels(and not lower). Some guys even inject every 3.5days.
If you inject every 2 weeks, the first week you might be at TT 1200 and the next week at 300, does that sound good?

So, I soon will be opting for the injections, as currently i have been fixed up with testogel. My question is, could you not keep a little test that you picked up on the side, off your buddy, and increase your dose just a little to avoid crash? If the DR is prescribing it every 2nd week, you could use your own personal stash for the week in between... Could you not?

Ok. I will try and talk my dr into giving me 100mg Wednesday.
And continue testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) weekly.
I'll keep clomid for a rainy day.
And discuss Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) to maintain fertility.

Can Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) be dosed monthly to save fertility ?

You can say that again.

My understanding is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is to be injected twice a week, 250iu twice a week. I know it keeps the testies from atrophying but not sure if it maintains fertility or not.
