New to TRT replacement - logging results

Hello all, I've been placed on TRT due to:

Low energy, low libido, and feeling more like a panzy than anything.

I had two blood tests done seperately from eachother. First one, I had free testosterine at 7.9 with total test at 500; second lab result free test at 8.0, total at 221.

Doc put me on 20mg/day Fortesta, which I've been placing on my inner-thighs after showering each morning.

I'm 35 years old, otherwise realatively healthy.

Two days ago, I received an email that got me pissed off and I felt a rage I've never felt before. Made my whole body tingle and all I wanted was a punching bag to go to town. I haven't felt like that since I was a teenager. Other than that, I began TRT two weeks ago not missing an application.

My worries: the gel will transfer inadvertently to my spouse, and child so I am thinking about requesting injections from the doctor.

Next blood test in a week, with a follow up a week after.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks, and Aloha.

I just started yesterday on TRT, and went with the injections for that reason. Just not worth the worry. The shot didn't hurt at all and I only have a tiny bruise.

So the more research I do, I'm reading that you need to inject HCG and B-12 with the Testosterone injections, which my doctor did not prescribe. He's a urologist, not an endocrinologist. Also have to monitor the estrogen levels because your body converts unused testosterone into estrogen which = oily skin (I have), gynocemastia (I have had all my life).

Going on TRT is not as simple as people think.

So let me know if you feel any different from the injection. The gels take 3 days to be absorbed through your skin and levels are not consistent due to absorbtion issues. I'm looking to get refered to an endocrinologist so they can monitor my blood work with more expertise.

Very smart move on your part. You were lucky to get injections right off. Myself and others have endured months of no improvement with gels, before moving on to injections.

It would have been helpful if you knew what your pre-trt E2 numbers were. (Sounds like they were already a problem.) If they were always high you would know to possibly jump on the AI pills ASAP after starting TRT. Estradiol control is more important than the HCG to start with IMHO.

Lastly, with proper amounts of T, you will become much calmer.
