newbie looking for advise.

Dear all, first thank you for taking the time to read my post. i am a newbie in this world and although i have read religiously on the subject, i believe no books can give me the advise and wisdom of someone who has been there and done it.

I am 38 years old. during my 20s i was in the army and i was in pretty good shape, i wasn't big but i was fairly proportionate and ripped at 12%BF give or take. last year what i saw in the mirror really woke me up. i was 27%BF, so i started working out, and i know its taken longer than it should but i have reach a point where, going to the gym 4 times a week to lift weight is part of my life style, ( wasn't easy in the beginning with 2 kids and all ) and so is eating clean. till a month ago, i would eat clean and work hard from Monday to Friday, and kind of let myself go during the weekend. but now i have stop that altogether. because i believe i am ready mentally to bring it to the next stage.

i been sticking to good old compound movements, hardly spending any time doing bicep curls but my arms has grown fairly satisfactory, and the rest of my body is shaping up at a rate i am comfortable with. all these while the only supplement i have taken is multi vit and omega oil. currently at 15-17%BF.

my primary aim is to get to 10-12%BF second to that is bulking up slightly the rest of my body ( who can complain for having bigger guns ). the one thing i am having a real hard time with right now is my abdominal fat. although i have lost my beer belly, i still have a bit of love handle that i just cant seen to get rid of.

this is my curent diet and work out routine: ( been on this for cloe to a month now )

wake up, i drink 1 LEAN BODY 40G protein, zero sugar, 8 carb shake. ( and i have started on a fat burner )
Cardio for 1 hour. 30 minutes of moderate speed and then i do HIIT 1 minute on 1 minute off for 7-10 reps and walk the rest of the 10 minutes
4 egg white

lunch i been eating japanese salmon sashimi ( raw salmon ) plus 200g of rice

pre workout i drink Jacked 3D 30 minutes before i hit the gym and a few nuts
1 hours of weight training on Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday.
post workout, i down 48G of protein shake with BCAA

dinner is usually a fillet of grilled white fish / chicken / beef

before i sleep i drink another LEAN BODY 40G protein, zero sugar, 8 carb shake.

now for the million dollar question.

i am thinking of starting a cycle ( never done it before ) in 1-2 months time, the aim is not to bulk up, but to get ripped while maintaining my muscle mass if i can gaining a bit more that would be nice too. :)

i am able to get Sustanon shots from a clinic, but it would be one Sustanon 250 per week or i was think i would do 1 per 2 week since its my first time?
i believe i can get hold of oral winstrol, dbol, anvar, clen if i want.

so out of what is aviliable to me, what would be a good cycle for a first timer to start off on? and for PCT, i can get hold of nolvadex and arimidex without much difficulty. bear in mind my aim is not to get freakishly big ( not that its easy to do so. )

any advise or criticism is welcome and i thank you all in advance for taking your time to help a newbie out.

You sound pretty damn good to me.

I'd get onto 3J on the diet forum. Your diet sounds good, but I'll bet 3J can double its benefit. Ask him as wee (when you're a client) what you should do re Test. He knows more than most around here, and needs to protect his reputation so hell give excellent advice.

In your circumstances I'd be really tempted to do a light cycle of one Sust 250 per week for 12 weeks (Sust hangs around for a few weeks after that) and then do a gentle post cycle therapy (pct). But use 3J. If you want to get ripped he'll show you how, with or without AAS.
 
thank you for your prompt reply, will seek him out. anyway i am not looking to get on gear until i feel that i can no longer improve without it. the thing is, i am not looking to bulk up, just want to get rid of the last bit of stubborn fats.
 
First of all, congratulations on your dedication AND hard work to get to where you are.
A really good and pretty standard first cycle is 500 mg test e/c per wk. pinned twice a week (250,250). This method keeps blood levels of the compound very stable and helps avoid rollercoasters! I wld. only do test for the first round and always incl. it for any subsequent cycle as test is the basis for all other compounds. The reason for starting with just test is so u can determine how your body reacts to it. If you used multiple compounds and had bad sides u wouldnt know which is causing it. I would get my test levels checked b4 you begin as well as a lipid panel and hell the whole works ,if your ins will cover it just to see where u r at. One of the signs of low test IS abdominal fat. Once u start using test you will see a recomposition take place in your body. You will lose fat and gain muscle. Good luck brother. Im in my 50s and test changed my life
 
yes i read forums to know that test would be in my first cycle. the problem is i can only get hold of sustanon, and thats 4 different test in one. i have also saw review of ppl doing sustanon 250 twice a week, some doing it every other day. it seems a bit excessive for me as i am not looking for bulking up. would 1 shot a week help or its just a waste of time and money, beside giving me the placebo effect which may make me work harder and hence see visible gains. :)

I would not add exogenous test without aq blood panel.

So refreshing to hear a man who is willing to log the time before looking for the majic elixor which test is not unless needed or your at a point where you can justify it for attainng your goals...and youve stopped making gains.
