I had been feeling severe fatigued and feeling like total ass the last 4 months. Finally got T tested and was 180. My primary doc gave me androgel 5mg day. I felt good for a week and then had the crash I have read about so many times. I made an appointment with a Endo and have to wait until Jan. Are there any docs in the ft worth area anyone can recommend? I am looking for a backup plan in case the endo turns out to be a flop. Im having other weird symptoms(losing weight and back has pins and needles sensation), so I dont think low T is my whole problem. My primary doc doesnt know anything but androgel. I didnt want to go the anti-aging docs yet since they dont take insurance and I wanted to see what happens with the endo im going to see in Jan. Im curious if any of you guys have a doc in my area that you see and trust. Also, what causes the crash after a week or 2 on Androgel that happens to some people? thanks

Chip is cheaper than any doctor, unless you have some great insurance that will cover everything - and even then you can't get nearly what you need from most doctors. Most doctors do not understand TRT. I don't work for Chip - but I have seen his prices and they are cheaper than the pharmacy and he works with a good doctor that will help you out. So many doctors have screwed me over with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and had no idea what they were doing.

My Primary Care Doc about lost his mind when I put down I was on HRT. He knew nothing about it and it was all the work of the Devil!

Needless to say, he is no longer my PC Doc...

Regarding androgel. What is it that makes a person feel good for a week or 2 and then crash? Also, I am considering injections, but until I see what my doc knows and if im going to go another route....Does androgel raise your e2? What im asking is..is there anything I can do (supplements) to offset any negative things that androgel does or other hormones it may throw out of whack?

Hey guys, while we're on the subject of "newbie questions", about what age is appropriate for HRT?

I've seen some people say as early as 27

I'm 21 and on TRT. I had no choice - no energy to do anything. So it is relative to the person. Not many people realize what it feels like to have castration levels.

Nothing will offset the estrogen spike of the gel. It will ruin you and shoot up E2. Don't even bother. The crash occurs when your body stops producing testosterone, then you are forced to use a lot of it and it drives up E2 even more and defeats itself. But don't believe me and millions of others, knock yourself out and enjoy womanhood on gel.

There is no "specific" age...It's like saying at what age can I get Skin Cancer...depends on the person/circumstances/environment etc...

Also I could not imagine smearing myself with gel to increase my T....I have no issue injecting. Must feel all awkward....Also bad if you ever had skin - skin contact with girlfriend or children etc....eek!

If you are on replacement therapy at age 21, you more than likely have a serious problem, probably something to do with your pituitary? Did your prescribing MD get a CAT scan or MRI of your brain? I got testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at age 32, but I was on dialysis and that was the problem, but the MD still did an MRI of my brain to make sure the pituitary didn't have any growths or abnormalities. I was good friends with Dan Duchaine and have worked with many top IFBB pros. Most men over 40 have lower Test levels. If you are over 40 and not feeling like you used to, I would talk to your MD. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is very common place today and most Endo MDs are very familiar with it. I would strongly suggest going with the injections vs the cream as it works FAR better. It also helps to switch from Cypionate to Enanthate every 6 months or so to keep the body from getting used to the drug.

Yeah dude my pituitary is fine. My nuts are fine. My neurotransmitters like dopamnine and serotonin are exhausted from a combination of stress and sex exhaustion from having low test. I know the problem all too well. I can always recover my own natty production of 300 which I have documented as consistently being at for 4 years. Life was miserable bro.
