Nizoral for acne worked for me

I read this on another board, so this isn't my idea. The last week, I've been using nizoral 2% on my face, neck and back because it purportedly help reduce acne. I stopped all other vitamins and such I've been taking for acne so I could give a fair conclusion. The only thing I'm on now is 500mg/week test. This has been a godsend, really. I started breaking out when I met my new girl a few weeks ago and I didn't want to make a bad impression. She actually asked if I was on steroids, half-jokingly. Its probably 75% cleared up in just a week, and it was on the verge of getting really bad. Just thought I'd share. I'm going back to taking B5 and B6 everyday on top of the nizoral. 1% may work too, but I'm not sure. You'd have to try it yourself.

Correct me if im wrong, Nizoral 2% is a shammpo/cream right?
Shammpo - to help/prevent hair thining?
Cream - for acne?
Would using this product matter if someone is natural or on steroids? thanks..

If there's a cream, I'm not aware of it. I use the Nizoral 2% shampoo for everything, scalp, face, back, etc... It would not probably make a difference if you have used steroids or not.

Interesting thing about Nizorol (ketoconazole) -- taken orally (200 mg tabs) it dramatically lowers both free and total testosterone levels (temporarily), and can be very helpful in procuring a test prescription. Liver toxic at high doses, though.

i always use it for acne .. ketokonazol is a DHT blocker
the DHT in scalp causes hair loss while in skin causes acne and increased work of sebacous glands
so using it on skin will prevent/reduce acne but also may cause a tight dry skin due to decreased sebacous gland secretions
