Not on Cycle, but Very High E2. Arimidex Dosage?

Got two bloodtests done in the months of February, April of this year as I was experiencing low mood, very very low libido, and erectile sensitivity problems. Also I believe I have a swollen prostate.

Background information : 18 years old
Generally a healthy individual.
Mood was always mediocre since puberty,
libido was never very high but it just dropped to almost non-existent at the beginning of this year.
Always wondered why I have slightly puffy nipples all the time.

Has NEVER taken any type of hormone (ANY sort of steroid)
Has only taken supplements in my life. (Creatine, Multivitamins etc)
I really have not a clue why this is happening to me, please help me out!

Here are the results of my three bloodtests:

Feb:
Free Test: 936 pmol/L
Range : 170-630

Estradiol : 165 pmol/L (44pg/mL)
Range : <150

April:
Free Test : 784 pmol/L
Range : 170-630

Estradiol : 139 pmol/L (38pg/mL)
Range : <150

Does anybody think the problem lies within the high Estradiol level for my age, and surprisingly high test level?
Ordered some generic Arimidex 1mg tablets, how much should I dose to get my E2 level back under control?

If anyone can advice please respond! Thank you!

Seriously dude at your age I would go to an endo or specialist to treat your issue properly. You are still young so self-medication I don't see as a viable option. The root cause of this is possibly treatable and hopping on adex without the purview of a medical doctor is irresponsible in this instance. Having said that this is what I see:

You have a case of pubertal gyno. You can get it for any myriad of reasons, you don't have to touch any hormones or steroids to get it. It's linked to genetics so it may be a trait passed down to you. Anyway not much can be done about your genetics but other possible causes are elevated estrogen, estrogen dominance, testosterone:estrogen ratio being off, (T + DHT): estrogen ratio is off, a tumor that can throw estrogen levels off, certain drugs both recreational and prescribed can cause it. Here is another possibility which I believe may be more pertinent in your case due to the high E2 AND high free test:

Endotext said:
DISPLACEMENT OF ESTROGENS FROM SHBG
Another cause of gynecomastia from estrogen excess includes steroid displacement from sex-hormone binding globulin (SHBG). SHBG binds androgens more avidly than estrogen. Thus, any condition or drug that can displace steroids from SHBG, will more easily displace estrogen, allowing for higher circulating levels of estrogen. Drugs can cause gynecomastia by numerous mechanisms besides displacement from SHBG. These drugs and their mechanisms will be addressed in a subsequent section.
.

Even though your E2 is out of range on only one of the tests it is high for your age period. Your free test levels are also above range so something displacing androgens from SHBG is a very real possibility and should be one of the first things checked by your doctor. You should have your doctor do a full hormone panel to see everything else of value, total testosterone, LH, FSH, progesterone, etc.

The reason I recommend you get professional help dealing with this is bc if you have gyno currently, the arimidex will not be effective in treating pre-existing gyno. It will lower your E2 levels certainly, but do you want to take arimidex for the rest of your life to keep E2 levels down but never find out why they're high and treat that? A SERM like raloxifene at 60mg/daily or tamoxifen at 20-40mg/daily will generally take care of the gyno but do you want to take SERM's every time your gyno flares up bc without treating the underlying cause, the gyno will surely come back. D you want to take both adex and ralox/tamox for the rest of your life and never treat the primary problem? What about your elevated SHBG levels?

Please consider the sensitivity of your situation and your age and work with a professional to find out why your SHBG levels are through the roof and you have high E2. That will be your best bet and safest route. I hope this helps and if you don't have access to a doctor for whatever reason, get a full hormone panel and maybe we can figure this out without a doctor but in your best interests, I would do my hardest to find a good endo to treat you. Hope this helps.

Hello! Thank you so much for replying to my thread.
I live in Canada, so based on our health care system we would need to get referred to a endo by our general practitioner. Many of which looked at my report and said there was no problem with me and its just me being young. Even if I do get an appointment I would have to wait 3-6 months before actually seeing them face to face, in which I did see an Urologist, but he also blew me off.

The main reasons I am posting these results is because of my low libido, and the lack of sensitivity in my penis. It literally feels numb and I am positive its caused by high E2. I have little pleasure in sex and I rarely feel horny anymore and I am only 18! Its been going on since January

Heres an article that might be precisely describing what I am going through right now.
I actually just posted the T and E on my thread, but I have more data done from those months.

High Estradiol doesn't make your penis numb. It can make it limp though. Are you having erection problems?

Have your doctor examine you for signs of gynecomastia.

Honestly, your numbers look reasonable to me. The E2 is only slightly elevated in one of you labs and that is probably because your Total Test was elevated as well. Sorry to not tell you what you were hoping to hear.
