Does anyone know is oily skin and scalp is solely T related or is Estradiol a contributor as well?
noticing more oily skin and scalp wit slit lower dose of ADEX....
???

Estradiol certainly plays a part in serum production & oily skin but it seems to differ dramatically between men & women (probably due to menstrual cycle hormone flunctuations).

In men, high serum estradiol levels are linked to increased acne (oily skin plays a part in this) as seen in this study: Testosterone and estradiol serum levels in... [Chin Med J (Engl). 1989] - PubMed - NCBI.

In women, higher T levels combined with lower E seems to cause oily skin & acne, which is why alot of women use oral contraceptives (Ethinyl estradiol being the key ingredient) to stabilise E and keep the acne under control.

Basically for men high E seems to be a bigger issue, while for women high T is the main factor.

E2 will help decrease intracellular lipid production!

DHT being the main androgen which increases Sebum(oil) from the sebaceous glands is converted in the skin and that causes the skin to appear oily and inflammation there may create acne.

Have you talked to a dermatologist? They can give you lots of good tips for your skin. I doubt this is TRT related.

No. Just seems to be the ones popping up at base of hairline on neck and very small odd ones on neck. None on chest or back. There were a couple around hip area a few weeks back....was on higher dose of HCG then though...

Does "E2 will help decrease intracellular lipid production" mean that higher E2 levels will decrease skin oillyness?

To a point, if you have very low e2 it will increase sebum production. Androgens are the main culprit for acne/oily skin, of course showering and using good soaps are a must for everybody.
