Remember today, the ending of the greatest war that engulfed the lands. On September 2, 1945, a formal surrender ceremony was performed in Tokyo Bay, Japan aboard the battleship USS Missouri. The Empire of Japan surrendered finally after some of the most intense fighting in the war. This day marked the end of a war that killed roughly 62 to 78 million. A war that showed the purest evils, yet also revealed the spirit and determination of the good n the world. Countless families lost their only children to war.
