On TRT, gaining size...What's the deal?

I got put on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 4 weeks ago (Test Cyp. 200mg/week) and I've already gained 9 lbs. I've always been active and worked out here and there, but have gotten away from it the last couple of years due to the lack of energy...Now that I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), I started back lifting and have noticebly gotten bigger already...I didn't think that I was gonna gain weight/size like this just off of the small dose my endocrinologist prescribed me, but I'm definitely not complaining...Is this normal?

Yeah, I'd say it probably a combination of water and newb gains since you had a long layoff from the gym and now you back to lifting consistently. Also your test is no longer in the shitter so you willl probably make gains a little easier than before.

I am on a dr. supervised diet and HRT. I made gains and lost weight. On week 5-7 I got some really good gains, but they slow down. I am still making gains, but not like week 5-7. Its a little harder to lose weight. My BMI and fat % are still going down though. I wish I had seen a dr 10 yrs ago.
I have worked out with weights since my 20's and gained more in 2 months than I would in 2 yrs in my twenties.

I was in the same boat as the original poster. I stopped working out for about 2 years due to lack of energy and having three kids in that time frame. I got on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and at the end of my first 4-5 3weeks I gained 8 lbs. This was not water weight in my opinion. Weeks 6-12 I didnt gain anymore weight but my body started changing shape and I got a little more defined.

The only difference here is I was taking Sermorelin along with the Test. Sermorelin is like HGH, but it naturally increases your own bodies HGH.

It's both - 200/week is good enough for serious muscle gain (especially if your test levels were low to begin with). Also, on any test, your gonna have some water weight. Don't think for a second, 200/week is not enough to make a SIGNIFICANT difference. It will.

I know it does now...I've been on it 7 weeks now and have gained 14lbs. (Went from 200 to 214) and everyone is noticing that I've gotten bigger and stronger...working out with 300lbs. again on the flat bench...haven't done that since 2003...I'm wondering when the gains will taper off...I'm 6'1" and I only want to get to 220lbs. with about 6% body fat...Im at 10% right now.

I am glad you posted this - i see so many guys say 200/week is water weight. BULLSHIT. It's plenty to make a HUGE difference when your natural test is low. IT does not take these massive dosages of 3 different compounds to get results. Too much hype. I went from 195 to 215 in 10 weeks and got a shitload of muslce. Granted, some was water weight, but I did have plenty of muscle when i was done in 12 weeks.

I think most guys make great gains on
200/week, then again I have see guys that use less and make gains.
My sweet spot is 200-300/week.
TRT is not a one size fits all.
