ok i was wondering what your experiences are with using clomid PCT...what and how bad is the depression or mood swings and whats the tracers/vison problem i hear people get..
second when you say depression do you mean so bad that you almost need zoloft cause your so down and sad, or is it more a motivation low type felling__like man i miss my dog that ran away....

i want to research all guys mental side effects from gear and be very decriptive.....cause depression is very thing i worry about regarding gear.

When people feel their mood go down after a cycle it can be hard to say exactly why and whether it is related to any drug or not.
You may get down because there is less testosterone, particualrly an issue if you let yourself crash and don't taper off at the end of cycle or do anything to encourage natural levels to increase again.
You may feel depressed because of a direct effect of Clomid- side effects listed in the Clomid literature
"Side-effects: visual disturbances (withdraw), ovarian hyperstimulation (withdraw), hot flushes, abdominal discomfort, occasionally nausea, vomiting, depression, insomnia, breast tenderness, headache, intermenstrual spotting, menorrhagia, endometriosis, convulsions, weight gain, rashes, dizziness, hair loss"
Given that the commonest use for Clomid is the treatment of infertility in women- this list of common side effects has been drawn up after studies on women so its relevance to men is not known. It is not certain what effect changing estrogen levels has on mood and depression in men.
You may also feel depressed post cycle because some of your hard won gains are disappearing and you are less motvated to train hard as your test levels fall.
Its a tough one.
If anyone has a tendency to depression then I would advocate avoiding post cycle crash at all costs- design your course to taper test levels and allow recovery. Use post cycle therapy (pct) designed to rack up natural test levels as this happens.
Use other ancillaries less likely to cause depression if you have a tendency to this- Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) or Arimidex during cylce to prevent estrogen production by aromatization. Neither of these drugs list depression as a common side effect in women taking them, however the caveat remains that their side effect profile in men has not been widely studied.

never had any problems from clomid, and i run it evertime. I never had a side from ti.

I believe that the story of Clomid causing depression and making you over sensitive (crying your eyes out all the time) is pure bullshit.... I fully believe its the elevated estrogen/diminished testosterone levels that cause these effects... think about it..when do you use clomid?? After the test has left your system and your estrogen level has skyrocketed (thus the "crying" all the time) People have just associated these symptoms with taking the clomid...even though it is estrogen related..... Just my opinion though

its probably a cxorrect opinion bro :)
clomid is a effective tool for hpta recovery and if your not willing to attack your post cycle therapy (pct) with the same intensity as you did the cycle why bother cycling in the 1st place if your going to lose a lot of your gains

Dawg and Fantom are correct.
Also, the only side that I have really seen from clomid is acne...but I'll break out just looking at a bottle of test!!

I definitely agree with the others, never had any major sides myself. I have found myself a little more emotional, but fantom loves it as I will cuddle on the couch and watch chick movies with him.

:druggie: :)

Clomid makes me really moody. Not in a depressed emotional way, but more of a I hate everybody way. After my last cycle, it seemed like I was in a pissed off mood the whole time I was using clomid. I was also getting bad headaches from it.

I also seem to get really bad acne on my shoulders while I am on it, but I am starting to think that the acne could be from the big fluctuation in test levels from coming off the cycle, and not directly from the clomid.
