:wallbash:While Benching Heavy without proper warm-up 7-05, I felt 3 distinct tears in my right chest. This was extremely painful & looked identical post-injury to WANNABEAFREAK's photo. Medical Staff told me I had Expreienced a Pectoralis Major Muscle Rupture & what they believed was a "Step" tear. (the 3 distinct sharp pains I felt) Long story short I had an X-ray which was pointless IMO, But no MRI or further medical Attention. I rehab'd slowly, literally starting at square one. Today I'm @ maybe 60% strength, and symmetry/appearance is garbo. Big Question has anybody experienced this injury & postponed surgery this long, or have any info concerning?

I think your body will have already repaired this its self, but the thing is it could of repaired it the wrong way, Who knows? do you get pain there? If you went to a doc and was serious about getting an old injury fixed I think you'll have to go under the knife

if your motion is impaired, you can definately get it repaired. it all depends how much it bugs u and if you have to work outta your way to not aggrevate it during workouts. be sure to get an awesome insurance plan before even seeing the dr again for that & realize that rehab will be anywhere from 4-8 months. goodluck bro!

I am wondering if you would have old scar tissue that would need to be removed in order to regain full movement and recovery...

Insurance would be an absolute must.
I priced the surgery at $20k+ not including the MRI .I've seen more than one doc concerning this issue & the general consensus is that I didn't have any business lifting heavy weights.:nono: and deemed it a self-inflicted injury. I'm sure there must be some scar tissue, but I do have full ROM another reason Dr. gave for denying my surgery. If I had to do it all over again I would have lied to the dr's & exaggerated my condition feigning immobility & extreme pain.;)
