Perfection Better Await

I'm gonna be buying my lab supplies now. Heres what i dont get from reading the stickies. Take for example test e. In the sticky, he uses an unsealed sterile vial for the mixing. Is this necessary? Cant you just use a beaker or no. I figured i could just:

1) add test, BA, and Oil in the beaker
2) heat it to 225 degree F
3) Draw it all into a syringe, put a filter on, shoot it into a sterile vial.

?

Who uses a sealed vial for mixing. I mix in a small pot on the stove.

in the sticky for making test e, it says to use a sterile vial and unclip it. It would save me a lot of $$ is i can just get 1 beaker instead of a seprate vial for each conversion

i know what you are saying. And yes, use a beaker or graduated cylinder for mixing.
