Plateauing on Cycle

I'm wondering if its normal to hit a plateau while on cycle?
This is my first cycle and I'm nearing the end of week 10 of a 12 week cycle. I started out at 400mg per week of test e but upped it to 500mg per week after week 6. I'm 53 and doing a 5 day workout split (training for six years).
Things were going really well. I added 17 lbs after the first 8 weeks and was hitting personal bests on all my lifts at the gym. However, in the last 2 weeks I'm still at 17 lbs up and I've seen no increases in strength...maybe even less strength. I've maintained the same diet throughout, which averages 300g of protein, 200-250g of carbs and less than 100g of fat. This amounts to approx 3500 cals per day.
I should mention that at week nine I changed over to test c because my test e ran out and I only had the cyp.
Now I think the advise might be to eat more but holy s*** I'm stuffing it in. It seems like all I do is eat (6 times pd). I'm not used to eating this kind of volume and its hard to eat when you're not hungry! And like someone else said in another thread "I'm soon going to grow feathers" from eating so much chichen and eggs. I might grow gills as well from all the fish I'm eating. I don't remember what its like to be hungry. My diet has remained the same through the whole cycle and I was gaining nicely, so why wouldn't the same diet be working now?
I guess what I'm wondering is, is its normal to experience this plateau or am I doing something wrong? Or, the other thought I'm having is that my test c is junk. I'd appreciate any thoughts...I'd like to make the most out of the last 2 weeks of gear.

When I hit a plateu with a long ester I add a short ester like Test Prop, NPP or Test Suspension or Winstrol that will give ya more definition if diet is on.....

Being your first cycle, its your call. An oral like Dbol will add some more weight as well.

Just some suggestions

And there lies your problem. You have gained 17lbs and NOT increased your daily calories to accomadate for your new weight.

More gear is NOT the answer, more calaoies is.

Thanks for the comeback StoneCold. I guess I kinda knew that intake might have something to do with it. I don't want to just throw in empty calories like junk food and I'm finding it hard to eat more than I am. Would a weight gainer sup work in this instance? I know there's nothing better than real food but with a sup I'd get the extra cals along with protein and carbs.

From everything I've been advised Gator, it would not be wise to add anything beyond test on first cycle. Perhaps a short ester test. But StoneCold may be right on the food intake...just so damn hard to eat more!

i got stuck myself after i went up in weight. i was and still am eating everything i can get my hands on. am back to clean diet.
i did turn to eating dirty but it was not Micky D crap or fast food. it was more pasta with cheese and more ground beef meals skin on the chicken.
i wake up and start eating and just before bed i eat 2 frozzen spoons of all natty peanutbutter and keep protien bars on the night stand incase i wake up.

i agree with cyto-you gotta dirty it up a lil. i agree with stone that its cals not drugs.............but if you could add abother 800-1000 cals to ur diet...........and through in some dbol like gator said......you might be able to put on another 10 lbs

I'm a little reluctant to "dirty it up" I seem to be able to put on fat a whole lot easier than muscle. My fear is that while I might put on more weight with a "dirty" diet, it will not be the right kind of weight and then I'll have a battle cutting fat. I'd put it on cleanly if I could stuff in more good quality food but I swear, if I eat more than I am, I'll puke!
Anyone have any thoughts on weight gainner sups?

weight gainers is just sugar-mine as well eat ice cream

i can not put on "bad weight" on test-and trust me i put on fat real easily.

when i say dirty i dont mean junk food. i mean more calorie dense foods.

if you cant consume more food-than your going to have to change the food you eat-or you will not get bigger. dont be afraid of things like pizza, mash potatoes, steak, steak steak.

Hmm, I could supstitute more steak or hamburg for the chicken I'm eating daily...maybe I wouldn't have to worry about pulling feathers out...lol

Definitely need to add cals. What I do is add a cheat meal every other day unless I'm cutting. I don't 'bulk' anymore, but when Im not cutting, I do that. Make sure its good kcals, and more importantly, make sure you eat your other meals.

My biggest question always is this. Who gives a fuck what the scale says? Judge your success off of your body in the mirror. Bodyweight is no indication of success. What happens if you keep all your LBM after your cycle, but lose 10lbs of water? You'll prolly freak out right?

Stay off the scale and just go off of how you look, how your clothes fit, etc. No one cares how much you weigh, its how much you look like you weigh!! :D

You're probably right RJH but you know how it is. Everyone seems to judge themselves by the magic numbers on the scale...especially us first timers. To be honest, when I look at myself in the mirror, I don't see any major change at all...even though others are telling me that I'm bigger.

i have to agree with RJH....im currently on my first cycle and everytime i walk into the gym or wake up in the morning i want to check my weight....i have had to make myself stop weighing....Feed off of the positive comments that everyone gives you....thats the only thing that keeps me off the scale...if people are tellin you that you look bigger or your clothes are getting tighter just run with that.....

Take measurements. Body dysmorphia plagues you more as you get bigger IMO.

If you are gonna weigh yourself. Pick points. Like when you start the cycle. Halfway thru, and at the end.

That's some of the best advice i've seen in ages RJH, i like the idea of judging yourself in the mirror over the scales.

I'm into week 7 of a test e cycle and ive actually lost 2-3lbs but strength and size are going crazy which is what i wanted, i was initially freaking out but realised i am looking a lot better and happy with things.
