I realize that we are all different and react in different ways to the meds we are prescribed, but I also know that the various protocols used for TRT will show many similarities. I'm in the process of transitioning from gels to injectables and I'm curious as to what protocols guys are using that they found really "dialed it in" for them. If you could also give your body composition and starting numbers that would be great.

Many Thanks!

Unsure of my body composition. Prior to TRT my total T values varied within the ~250-310 range. Free T was also low-normal.

Current protocol:

75mg test cyp E3.5D
400iu hCG E3.5D (same day as my test injections)

My starting test level was at 153, I am currently around 700. My protocol is:

100mg test cyp E3.5D
150iu hCG E3.5D

This puts my Estradiol in the upper quarter of the normal range. My body composition would not really matter much since I am also doing a 3J diet and exercise program. I was at about 27% body fat (I think) when I started, though. Going on TRT dropped me to around 25% or 23% with me doing very little to help it...and then 3J took over.

300mg per week?

I just realized I messed that up and came here to fix it. It is 0.5ml of 200mg/ml, which is only 200mg/week. I was thinking of the old dosage, which was in biweekly dosing instead of weekly dosing...so I should have cut it in quarters instead of half..I used to do 1.5mg every two weeks (which I changed to 0.75 a week on my own). Doc just shifted me to weekly and raised my dosing and I shifted myself into semi-weekly. I told him I felt better on the slightly higher dose and he was fine with it, since it is still in the normal range and my estradiol is still good (though he did not even bother to have that checked, I asked him to add it to my blood work).

Got the numbers jumbled up! I fixed my post. Off to Yoga class...need to look at young, in shape, flexible bodies for an hour. ;)

Body Composition: 6'7", 312lbs, ~13-15% body fat. (Can't fit in a bod-pod, dexa scan is too expensive, don't trust bio-impedance, so have to rely on calipers!)
Body Composition Pre-TRT: 6'7", 490lbs, ~48% body fat.
Pre-TRT: 120ng/dL
Current: 1067ng/dL
Test Dose: 125mg x2 E3.5D
AI: (Not comfortable stating dose as it's letro, but I used to use .25mg of Adex E3.5D)
HCG: 250IU 2x week

Puts me around 1000ng/dL, but there are fluctuations typically with a range of +/- 200ng/dL due to blood volume, type of test (if not pharma), et cetera.

Hope this helps. :)

Body Composition: 5ft 9", 230lbs, 15% bodyfat
TRT dose: Nebido (Test Undecanoate) 1000mg/4ml injection every 4 weeks
AI: Arimidex 0.5mg E5D
HCG: 500iu 2 x week (10 weeks on - 4 weeks off)

No noticeable fluctuations in T or E2, life-changer! :)

Wow that's incredible. You lost almost 200 pounds since starting your TRT?

16 months on TRT, and I am still making adjustments to my protocol.

Before starting TRT, test was 270 mg/dL. Currently test range is 900-1000. I am 72 years old and weigh 150.

Current test dosage is 60mg E4D (equivalent to 105mg/week). I have used as little at 70mg/week. That was OK, but I feel more powerful and energetic on my current 105 mg/week.

Still working on AI dose. For a long time I took little or none. Two weeks ago I started on 0.25mg of adex E2D. Libido improved slightly and then started to drop off, so I am discontinuing AI as of today. I should get an E2 lab result, but haven't done so yet.

Not sure of body fat number. Waist now 1 inch smaller. A little more muscle definition. Arms and legs noticeably bigger and more muscular.

Do you get the Test Undecanoate prescribed by a doctor? Wondering how I can get my hands on that if I only have to inject every 4 weeks!!

13-15% bf approximately.

More appetite, higher metabolism, more energy, higher sex drive, more confidence, more muscle, more strength, less anxious than before trt.

I take 66 mg every 3.5 days. I get labs done tomorrow and see where it puts me.

On 62mg I was peaking around 900 or so.

My E2 has always been around 42 or so for the longest.

I only take testosterone...nothing else.

Not sure where you live but in the US its only approved for 3/4 the dose, and it is under patent so its crazy expensive, most insurance won't cover it.

160mg Testosterone Cypionate weekly

Moving up to 180mg Testosterone Cypionate weekly next week.

Yep, I was switched to Undecanoate from Sustanon over a year ago now...

I had my reservations at first but after a couple of months getting settled on it, it's truly been a life-changer....

No peaks or troughs in T or E2, a relatively PIP-free slow 2 minute injection done by the missus and that's me good to go for 4 weeks.... I'd go as far enough to say that Undecanoate could be the future for the TRT world.

At the moment, it's crazy expensive, but I can see this coming down over the next couple of years as more people want to move on to it. I'm lucky that here in the UK, I get mine free on the National Health Service.

Although UK docs won't consider an AI or HCG, I have to go elsewhere for these....

Testogel(european version of Androgel) for 8 weeks.
I started with 50mg(per day), first 3 weeks was the best 3 weeks of my life! :)
Then i got tired and wasnt motivated or focused, guess my own production was going down.
After 6 weeks i increased the dose to 100mg and it got temporarely better but it feels like my body does not absorb it or something. Last week has been terrible, cant focus and feel like a depressed zombie. Cant even eat, no appitite.
Will try to get Testim tomorrow from the doctor, if it does not work i will try injektions.

Get off those gels and on to injections ASAP bro....

Nothing but poor absortion, rollercoaster E2 rides, risk of transferrence to loved ones and not to mention the mess!

It's protocol, so grit your teeth and do as your doc tells you, but you really need to get on to injections asap...

If your doc is hesitant, tell him you are worried about transferring the test to your family members and loved ones, this usually swings it

@RIB
Make sure they give you the right injections. In some European countries the policy for injections are Sustanon 250 ever 3 to 4 weeks or 1000 mg of testosterone undecanoate (Nebido) ever 8 to 10 weeks. Both will have you on a roller coaster ride. With days that you are getting too much and days (in case ofe Nebido weeks) that you are getting too little.
