after my workout i usually like to have my protein shake, and usually make myself a tuna sandwich or a pb&j sandwich on wheat... im not exactly trying to cut.. but im not trying to bulk either.. i just want to put on a couple pounds on.
i am just wondering if i should just stick with the shake and have my sandwich a bit after my workout.. does it really matter or is it could to put some carbs and more protein in my body after my workout?

I would add 80-100g of dextrose to your PWO shake to equal 50g protein/80-100g dextrose. Follow that up 90 minutes later with a good complex carb/high protein meal and you'll be on the right track.

I go to an excellent sports nutritionist who does quiet a few high ranking professional sporting teams in my country and he recommended to me to have a shake with white bread and jam and honey on it. High GI is the way to go after a workout. I used to be a huge fan of dextrose post workout but to be honet with you, i havent had any for about a yr and my results have been better then ever
