my gf's taking clen now and the cramps are startin to get bad...what is the proper daily dossage for potassium to aid in this problem?..

bro

2 start ya may wish 2 back-off on the Clen. R the cramps muscular, GI or angina?

K+ is one lyte you don't want to mess with (think very "bad 4 the heart") - very narrow therapeutic range of 3.5-5 mEq/L so best 2 get some bloodwork 2 establish serum K+ levels

8-10 mEq tabs r common and 16-24 mEq/day PO (by mouth) is often Rx 4 hypoK+

Safer way 2 ↑ K+ would be to eat some bananas

I AM NOT an MD so always seek professional medical advice from a qualified physcian for proper Dx & treatment - pls

peace

so if the safer way would be to eat some bananas, i take it high doses of potassium arent needed, but rather normal doses.....as opposed to megadosing B12 for anti-E, or B5 for acne...

I appreciate the responce, but as i got a D in AP chemistry in highschool and never took it since, I would appreciate some laymen's terms..

..and the cramps are muscular i believe..she says shes kind of achey in the muscles..

Clen is a dieuretic; make sure she drinks plenty of water!! Lack of water is often the cause of cramps. Bananas, gatorade, and K+ tabs are all suitable. Do a search on clen cramps in the anabolic section; I myself have actually started a thread on this lol. Those mf'ers will kill your calves!
Found my thread for you; there are a million others as well...:

Drink your water - Take your multivitamin, and start taking some Taurine - Problem solved!!

I would stay away from adding in more and more potasium -

 Oops - sorry bro...my fault 4 tryin to get all my college loan $ worth (LOL)

Minx & DMS r right on

muscle cramps r usually from mild dehydration (also resultant low salt levels) and I've heard Clen may deplete Taurine

again - will attempt more english :)

I hardly ever see cramps from low potasium levels - IMO its fairly uncommon in athletes. What people assume is from low potasium levels is low magnesium -

Just think about the typical athletes diet, the amount of potatos alone the athlete will eat covers their potatsium needs well beyond what is needed.

defiantely drink lots OF WATER AND TAKE MULTI AND TAURINE AND THATS IT!! i take clen often and only get cramps when i dont drink alot of water
