Pre-Contest cycle Timing--First Time high performance athlete!

Cheers all I just have a quick question.

I have all the components for my first cycle (12 wks test e only, with all pct etc.) and am wanting to use it for a bulk. I am competing in a show on the 3rd week of June and was thinking of starting my cycle in February as that's when my sports season is finished. Though the chance of me getting tested is low, I would never compromise my team or self during sports season and this is my last season of play ever. Thing is 12 weeks would take me to April and then I would only have about 9 weeks to contest prep(won't need much more due to body already).

I'm just curious if it would be worthwhile doing the cycle prior to competition to get some more mass for heading in or if I should wait until after. Thing is I'll be up against the big boys and it could be helpful. Thoughts on this please!!??

205 lbs
9% bf
Have competed 3x already as a natural
High level athlete training and diet is in check
Work with a coach for the above

Run the cycle up untill show day so you peak for your contest. Right now your planning on cutting during pct. Not a good idea.

Yeah that's what most of the research has said in terms of pct. If I bumped my cycle back one month so pct was finished before my contest cut would that work?

Otherwise I foresee that I may hold extra water etc. come contest day. And by doing so, I would essentially be using the test to cut with which isn't very beneficial to me as I can cut down to 5% naturally fairly easily.

Using it to put on lean size then is not recommended prior to competition and should wait until afterwards? More input would be appreciated. Oh forgot to say age--24
 
Contest prep is to in depth the be discussed like this. Go read some threads in contest prep forum.

Even if you can cut to 5% naturally, you will hold onto WAY more of the muscle you just built up cutting to 5% on AAS.

So I'm confused then should I time it so my cycle comes to an end during competition and start pct afterwards? Or should I just run it right through contest prep (while cutting) and take advantage of the post-show rebound with a few weeks of test still.

OR should I just start it earlier and keep my plan of lean bulking a bit and then cut as normal for show time?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I'm having a hard time finding any info on test e only for a contest and my particular situation. Thanks a lot!
 
Hi my name is Andreas from Greece. I read that the best is 4 weeks on and 4weeks off for less side effects. The 4 weeks on is the bulking cycle right? the 4weeks of is the cutting cycle or without drugs? can you help me?

a few things stand out for me:

u say ur gonna compete against the big boys, do u mean heavy or super heavyweight? cuz I doubt u will be either after a proper cut. U have about 16 weeks left til your show, which is about the standard for contest prep. Ur 6'3, 205, 9% now... so that would put u at about 185 after a proper contest prep

if ur working with a "high level coach" there is no reason why he shouldn't know this stuff, and know that gear must be used right up until the show for optimum results.

as for running test e only... there are better options as far as adding some tren a and/or winny for the last 6-8 wks, and dropping the test about 10 days out from the show to reduce the water retention as much as possible. If ur just gonna run test only i'd run it til one week before the show and up your dosage of arimidex or aromasin the last 2 weeks.

I would recommend using some good cutting steroids to bring you in to the competition hard and with out water retention. I would personally cut the testosterone out all the way or just do TRT levels for around the show. And use some strong androgens that are not going to let you lose muscle or hold water for the last week or 2. Obviously tren would work the best for this but I don't really know your stats good enough to recommend something like tren. Masteron is loved by all competitors if you get the real stuff especially at a body fat percentage extremely low it will really be a amazing compound. Using highly faked steroids like masteron close to contest and getting ripped off and finding out it is testosterone would really suck though.
