Previous heart problems with Test-Prop and Tri-Tren

Hi everyone,

First of all I am going to admit I did the typical stupid thing of starting roids without seeking any real advice or knowledge of them. So I am asking this to find out where I have gone wrong and to try to re-gain confidence to start using gear again.

So here is the story of what happened, I have been training for some time with a friend who has been taking roids for over 10 years. He helped me get my hands on Test-Prop and Tri-Tren.

I was taking 1ml of each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

About 3 weeks into this cycle I was riding a bike and noticed when I got off it that my heart was a bit funny, I then realised I have Atrial Fibrillation and went to the hospital. I stopped the roids and then a couple of weeks later my heart went back to beating normally (I was on anti-coagulants and beta blockers due to the AF).

Some months went by and I decided to start the gear again but on a lower dosage - 0.5ml of each Mon,Wed and Fri.

Then after 3 weeks of this, I went to run up some monster waterside in Tenerife and then ran all the way back down again (it was very high set of stairs) and then when I got to the bottom I was in Atrial Fibrillation again. The hospital gave me cardio-version to knock the beating back to normal rhythm. This was 6-7months ago now.

Obviously I have been a bit of an idiot just jabbing myself with the same stuff my friends was taking without researching first. And now I have hit a wall with natural training I would like to find a course of gear that isn't going to f*ck my heart up again into AF.

So I still have some test-prop and tri-tren, but I am reluctant to use them. What can people here recommend and any thoughts about what was happening with the old ticker in my previous attempts?

It might also be worth pointing out that I have just started hGh - Hygetropin - In the last couple of days so whatever I take must work with this. I was thinking of JUST taking the Test-Prop... and getting rid of the Tri-Tren?? Not sure if that would make a difference or not... thoughts?

Any help in getting me to understand this will me massively appreciated!!

Having a wife myself with heart conditions, and knowing what she goes through to be ok, I'm curious to know why you want to run another cycle before fully verifying the cause of your atrial fibrillation with your doctor? And if I'm not mistaken it isn't something that just ups and goes away, it needs to be treated (I might be wrong). Last thing you need is congestive heart failure or a stroke (wife had one).

Cycling will mess with your blood. And blood clots among everything else is already one of your concerns.

Maybe you should worry about taking care of yourself instead of cycling. Or at the very least make sure yourself is squared away with your doctors instead of a bunch of random unknown guys on a forum.

i dont see a great connection with the use of gear and a-fib... seems you have a preexisting condition that is made worse with exercise.. what has your doc said about it??

Thanks for the quick replies... I have been to the hospital countless number of times recently regarding this and to a few different Cardiologists and specialists (both NHS and private). Yes it required treatment at the time but when the condition was treated and the test where done, there was nothing left to treat. I have no concern over clots and coagulation of the blood. Obviously this was a concern when I had AF but not since.

Everything checks out with my heart, albeit a little large when I first went. I am 25 years old and so far every test and scan echo and all that business has turned out to be fit healthy and no problems whatsoever.

There have been a large number of cases of people that have fallen into a-fib due to abusing steroids, but I guess a lot of them will be people who haven't taken time to research them and understand them - instead just pumping themselves full of whatever their mate does (my case for example). There has also be a few studies relating to this too but I haven't taken to time just yet to investigate their legitimacy just yet...

The only time I have had problems is when I have been on the gear and then stressed myself out with sudden intense cardio. So what I am basically asking is information from the steroids point of view, was that a large dose to start off on and was I over doing it? Should I have eased into it? Are they a bad mix? is cardio a known big no-no on what I was taking? Things like that...

I agree with 3J, probably no direct link between AAS use and inducing to a-fib. However, if you do go into a-fib, having higher RBC levels from AAS use might make you more susceptible to clotting in your aria, then stroke. If you keep getting bouts of a-fib they might put you on coumadin, which is not a fun drug and hard to manage. But hopefully they can address your symptoms if this continues, with a b-blocker (medication). And no caffeine! And no heavy alcohol use either, which can put you into a-fib the following day (associated with bad hangovers). But, overall I cannot see a link between any type of AAS usage and increasing your likelihood for a-fib
