problem with overdrawing-where to draw the line

futile amnesiac
hey guys. just a question on how to calculate how much gear ya got in a syringe, cuz it seems that everytime i finsish a vial i am at least one shot short, if not two. okay, you know the black end of the plunger, there's two rings and then the thing that dips down that looks like the bottom of a coffee cup or a raindrop-hopefully you know what i mean-say you are drawing one ml, do you draw to where the second ring hits the one ml mark or do you draw till the bottom of cup looking thing is at the one ml mark? thanks, and sorry for the d.a. question.

it also might be the brand you are using, I as well as a few others on this board have had this problem with QV oils. At least 2 10ml vials or prop I got from them were shorted by 1-2cc while others were fine.

Remeber that if you have lets say a 10 ml bottle and you draw exactly to the 1 ml mark in the syringe 10 times it's not going to be enough.

Dependent on which needle and syringe you have some of it will be lost, 5-10% is not uncommon.

SYRINGE get the kind that have no (tit); dam I forgot the technical term. You want insulin syringe. The end is flat. You can not take off the needle. What goes into the syringe, comes out. They are usually 29 ga. 1/2" or 5/8".

you lose .1ml in a 3ml syringe at the top of the pin......so if you draw to the line you are going to be 1ml short every 10mls every time.

DEADLIFT. is there any certain technique or precaution you take to avoid this? i mean, i usually gauge my cycle length by the amount of gear i have, and i don't always run according to the bottle-e.g. if it's 250 per ml i dont' usually run 500/wk, usu more, so i was wondering what you do? just order more gear, or do you pick and choose a few shots on which to underdraw? great replies. thanks guys.,

Insulin syringes are not appropriate for oil based gear (most gear) which needs to be injected intramuscular. The main reasons for this are the needle. It isn't long enough and it isn't thick enough.

Ya.....pull the plunger 1/2 cc further then you need it. if you want 2cc....pull it back to 2.5cc until it fills from 2.5 to 0.5cc on the syringe. That way you don't lose the point one in the tip. Did that make sence?

DEADLIFT kind of/not really. so you mean if i'm doing a cc, inject the oil up to the 1.5cc mark leaving air up until the .5 cc mark, then just push the air out? thanks.

I can't even tell you how long it took me to figure that out.I was going to strangle my source.
