i go to a top 10 school in america, im double majoring in philosophy and the study of religion and am an honors student with a 3.75 gpa.. fuck the people who think im a meat head.. thx!!
sorry to be a dick, but bio and engineering majors rape your majors in the ass; in terms of difficulty and workload.

agreed... they are difficult.. but i bet you wouldn't succeed that well in my majors... we all have our strengths and weaknesses... i dont go to some pushover school..
my school is ranked 5th in america for philosophy... right behind harvard, stanford, and berkeley, and nyu
people at my school average a b+ (3.3) gpa.. it's considered the hardest humanities...
so comparing a philosopher and a bio major is like compairing apples and oranges..
u have to read alot and memorize shit.. i have to write 30 page discertations and 3hr long in class essays...
I aint no college kid but I was smart enough to climb my way past the college kids and get a job making 55000.00 + a year.. I manage a very productive buisness , and I aint no fucking meat head.
*highfive*
screw numbers and this gpa bullshit. it's just a number. means nothing. it varies depending on what school you go to and what your major is. a 2.5 at one school could be equivelant to, if not better than a 3.8 at another school. pure nonsense.
If you go to an accredited college or university its all about the same. All A's is a 4.0, and drops from there. Its not just a number, maybe you didnt get good grades eh?
its the same scale yes, but total different curriculum. some schools are just simply easier than others. some schools have ridiculous programs in certain areas while other schools are easier. i know this first hand as i had friends at other schools in similar majors and when we would compare classes such as gen chem or Ochem, they had it much easier. just puttin it out there.
my grades were fine for me. got me into med school. i also didnt didnt worry about grades so much and busted my ass volunteering, doing research, and working in the medical field all throughout college which helped me out tremendously..more so than any class i could have taken in college.
Ok, well that makes more sense. Yes, some schools are easier but the grading scale is usually the same. I agree that volunteering and doing actual work in your field is more rewarding and also teaches you more. How in hell did you find time to do it in Med School? Im at school almost 14 hours a day sometimes.
im not in med school just yet.. i just graduated from undergrad. going to med school starting in the fall..it's going to kill me i know it haha..im trying to use my time now to lift and workout as much as possible
