Proven that sitting everyday is as bad as Cigarettes...

I saw a crazy YT video the other day where scientists have proven that sitting down often and everyday can take years off your life just like cigarettes!

That sucks for those of us with desk jobs...
 
Just try to get up and walk around for 5min every hour. Get up and do like 10 push ups or some squats walk the stairs for a mental break haha. Not to workout but just to get it body awake and not stay sedentary.

Also if your getting your workouts in and eating healthy don't worry about it

Ya ive seen this, sitting for 8 hrs a day is as bad as working night shift or smoking and so on. It makes sense, the human body is designed to be active, if we dont use it, its not going to function very well for very long.
 
There was an article on the study on this a while back. Headline was something like "Inactivity kills more than cigarettes," -- will see if I can pull it up.
