Pump in the gym

OKs...l'll give example with working biceps....you go to the gym and have a really good workout and your biceps get really pumped and your biceps feel huge cause they are so pumped.....when you work out should the muslce your training ALWAYS get that huge pump??? and l dont mean a little pump because your muslces will obviously get pumped if you work it, but l mean the big pump you get and you feel as your muscle is just at its biggest size... if you dont have that pump after you have finished your exercises do you think you should just chuck in another exercise to try and feel that pump???

sorry if my description kinda sux i didnt know how to explain what im trying to ask lol.

getting your back pumped like that is a bitch, let alone almost impossible for most to do....

ohhh really, i thought l wasnt training my back hard enough because l barely feel a pump in my back at all when i train?

it is very very hard to get a good back pump going for most..the low back pump is easy..but the upper/middle back area is almost impossible..the idea of the pump is force as much blood into the area as possible, but the back is so large and thick, most can not get enough blood into the area to cause a pump like that..its like trying to get a pump in the abs..not gonna happen.

dynamic stretching aka DC stretches. getting a crazy pump isnt a prerequisite for a good or productive workout. it just means you really got a lot of blood in to that muscle.
last friday i trained high reps (12+) on all my sets and got a mind blowing pump. i was water rebounding too and about 5lbs heavier than normal. it was fucking nutz.

That's the best feeling in the world and throw in the rebounding water...you wish it could be like that everytime. That's when you want to bump in to your ex-girlfriend because you feel and look amazing.

A pump doesn't mean you've had an effective workout, it just means there's a lot of blood in the muscle people. I've heard older guys (>40/yr) complaint they don't get any pump at all, but that doesn't mean their workout sucks every time.

The pump is great though :D

wait so these stretches i dont get it is it like a warm up stretch b4 you work out or is it with the weights??? got links with examples or anything?

you basically stretch and resist the stretch by flexing said muscle. its actaully an isometric excercise.
i do them after im done working that muscle/muscles.

try to figure out how to add resistance to a stretch, like hanging from a bar or letting a dumbell stretch your tricep.
