Trestolone which chemically is 7a MEthyl 19 Nor Testosterone or MENT for short. It's a nandrolone derivitive, it was tested as a male contraceptive for it's ability to greatly lower sperm production(more so then normal TRT) while maintaining the same positive effects that testosterone provides, but capable of doing such at a much lower daily dosage.
7a Methylation greatly increases the agonistic effect of steroids at the androgen receptor(without increasing hepatotoxicity like 17a methylation), it not susceptible to 5a reduction and will aromatize to keep estrogen balance, though running an aromatase inhibitor along side of it is suggested.
On paper I believe it is something like 6x as potent as methyl test, were expecting Trestolone to produce basically twice the anabolic effect of testosterone, as well as we have had users report more of a euphoric sense of well being on trest over test. In laymen terms 50mg Trest A should outdo 100mg Test P for ED application.
In theory and some user application they are using Trestolone in place of testosterone for cycles, though some say it really shines when used in conjunction with testosterone.
