Question about carb cycling??

Cycling threw high, med, low carb days do you stay under you maintenance calories? ? I can see that for med low days but that would be hard to accomplish during high days. Any advice would be appreciated. Looking for a lean bulk.
 
it stays constant... your fats and carbs move... your protein can go down a little on the higher carb day.. but calories stay the same...

you are trying to lose weight, im guessing?

whats your TDEE?
 
Hey man,

I have been using carb cycling for over the last year with good results. On my high days I am about 400 calories over maintenance, on moderate days I match maintenance and on low days I am about 400 under. Depending on the goal I vary my number of high days i.e. If one was to bulk they could have 3-4 high days for example and if looking to lean they could do 1-2. If I am having a cheat meal I will only have it on the high days. Also, you never have a high day on a rest day.

Thats a quick outline of mine, maybe 3j will add something in as I am sure he knows alot more than me. I'll probably learn a thing or two as well.
 
So 3j would what I have been using even be considered carb cycling?

I had a crash course in it in basically anything I could find on it to read online.

your lowest carb day isn't low enough... you have to give your body that urge to need more carbs.. at 200g you really are not doing that...

My TDEE is 2878 looking into a lean bulk. I'm trying to cut down some bf right now b4 I start my cycle in about a month. Recovering from a back injury and I managed to gain some unwanted fat. Right now I'm cutting at 2250 cals 220p,130c 80f, until I start my cycle that's when I would like to incorporate carb cycling. So I'm curious to know what my macos would be during carb cycling.

Age 36
Height 6 ft
Weight 220
Bf 18-20 %
Train 5 days a week.

your daily total caloric intake should be about 3400 calories...

so the way you have your carbs set up is fine actually.. what your issue is here is that you are not getting enough fats on the other days.. you need to up your fats so your at 3400 calories across the board

I wasn't actually, but I'll take that as a hint I should consider? I don't really do the bulk/cut thing, just gain lean and modify my high days accordingly like I said.

If you want to carb cycle for a lean bulk the above info will work just fine for you.
