I have been doing IM injections to my thigh. Two times out of the four injections I have done have gotten sore the next day. Is this normal? I use the outside thigh muscle. Number 2 muscle on the picture on the spotinjections.com web site. I don't notice any pain when giving myself the injection.

It is normal to have PIP in virgin muscle.

This ^^^^ . Really get used to all kinds of scenarios, a drop of blood a spew of blood, no blood and blood in the same basic area. Also lumps now and then, soreness for different reasons sometime and sometimes not. Redness when sore sometimes.
Only infections are a real problem and then you see a doctor immediately. Red, very painful, puss maybe if not attended to right away. Very hot to the touch, very red and very painful to the touch and not touch it w/pain. All the symptoms will come closer and closer to the surface usually, but at that point you should have caught it and been ti the doc
