Question on PSA Reading

6ymr47

RAWR!
Currently on HRT 35yo male otherwise healthy with a past normal PSA reading of .75 2 years ago. I received my current Bloodwork showing a PSA of 3.9 and am concerned.

I have been supplementing my 100mg prescribed dose with an additional 100mg for a total of 200mg ew 4mo at a time then 3weeks of 100mg before the Bloodwork. I have been doing this for about 8 months. Could the sudden decline before testing be a cause of the PSA spike? I haven't had the PSA taken since I started this cycling. Before this I was on 200mg for 3 years with another Doc and was fine no issues however this Doc felt the need to reduce the T.

Also had a DRT perfectly normal.

Any feedback would be of assistance to ease my mind.

Thanks

Looks like it may be prostatitis, slight discomfort on urination, frequent urination, urine dribbling, although the urine test came back negative for bacteria it seems like the probable scenario. Any other feedback?

prostatitis is bacteria related so if the test came back negative its not that, was it sensitive, or more so that normal on a rectal exam ? i had a prostate infection and it sucked, antibiotics for 4 months , they attack the joints and your body hurts all over. my dodc didn't do the bacteria test and went on symptoms so the meds might help you too

Yeah rectal was perfect from what he said, it was sensitive to the touch but not ouch get off that hurts.

if it was infected you would have hit the ceiling, got to be something else, pelvic floor muscles or estrogen levels more test scheduled
