Queston for a new guy

OK so my roommate is trying to get me to try testosterone to help with building muscle. My concern is that I am in the National Guard. Will testosterone injections show up on a US Army drug test?

They generally only test for rec drugs. But I'm not 100% sure..

Testosterone is not tested for on drug tests...reason being that your body produces its own.

However....if they do bloodwork for any reason....and your testosterone is at abnormally high levels, LH and FSH are shutdown, and estrogen is higher than normal, there is only one conclusion to these results. Steroids!

Also...some drug tests detect by-products that are only present if certain drugs are used or legal drugs used illegaly/in excess.....

They also detect certain "cover up" drugs.

It just comes down to what type of testing they do.

If I were only taking test would that produce a by-product? Also do army drug test look for that? I know that are mainly looking for rec drugs but I am no expert on the subject.

Im not positive about that answer...I highly doubt it, but just as an example....alcohol is out of your urine in less than 24 hours, yet your liver produces an enzyme that is ONLY present when it breaks down alcohol. This enzyme can be detected 3-4 days later...even though alcohol was gone in less than 24 hours.

But as far as I know...there is NOT any kind of extra enzymes(or whatever) that ONLY gets produced when Testosterone is in supra-levels that would show up on drug test.

Again though...a simple blood panel...not even checking for drugs.....is what I would be worried about...like I stated above, all normal levels will be extremely high/low

Hey man, fellow national guard guy here. Air guard though but same tests. You have nothing to worry about. They only test for recreational drugs. The only way you'd get tested is if you made it obvious by gaining 50lbs, and had acne kinda thing. Also, it has to be commander directed. Which hardley ever happens and they send a sample to the same place as the Olympics which is ucla. There they can't test for testosterone per say, but for the ester connected to it they test metabolites that are from the ester. Also there they can test for other ass like deca and dbol. Most orals Are out of your system fast and others like deca arr detectable for 18 months. Im on deca right but im not worried Just dont let it be known or obvious

Oh and as far as blood tests go. The only time we get blood draw in once a year for HIV tests. This year I got mine while I was on cycle and nothing. They only test it for HIV dont do any hormone panel. Your g2g bro.

I was pretty sure they would not find it on a drug test. I just get paranoid about this stuff some times... Considering I will only be taking a low dose of testosterone injections (1ML 300mg per week). If they catch me I can just claim to be taking over the counter test boosters from GNC.
