Rack deads....

I may start doing rack deads, Dumbell shrugs just seem to make less sense then 385 on a barbell...Anyhow is there any technique that is different when doin rack deads ? Thanks
 
About a year ago i pulled my siatic nerve...sucks by the way, so i couldnt do any deads or squats for awhile. Basically, i used the rack deads to work my way back into the regular deadlifts. Dont rack deads have the same purpose but involve less legs? I could be completely worng about that, but why do you want to do rack deads over normal deads?
 
so...in my own opinion and experience...racks is mostly back..
it's funny how some people think i'm doing shrugs when i'm racking...^^;
 
Don't turn rack deads into a shrug.

Set the pins so the bar is below your knees.. none of these 3 inch "rack deads"

I don't bro..and I do proper racks..but ya know...people who doens't have any idea on waht you're doing thinks like that :P
