REALLY bad day for eating......

You guys ever have one of those days where you just can't eat? Today was one of those days for me. I didn't eat hardly anything today. Couldn't get myself to feel like it. I am at 1800 cals/100g protein for the day and its 8:19pm! Yesterday, I had 5700 cals and 415g protein. Should I try to cram a bunch into the next hour, or just give it up for today. And if I give up for today, should I make up for it tomorrow? Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but I have made such great progress for the last 2 months that I just want it to keep going. Is missing one day really that bad?

Try to eat what you can. Missing one day isn't going to destroy your efforts. Gains in muscle mass are more a function of weekly and monthly caloric intake, not daily intake.

I think I worded my question wrong..........I'm worried about how I'm going to feel tomorrow because I only had 1800 cals today.........I don't want to fall into a slump tomorrow as well. I'm not worried about losing the muscle gains, but worried about not being able to eat again tomorrow. Guess I'm just crazy. Thanks frosty.

You won't know until tomorrow :D

Things vary from day to day. Sometimes you're really pumped for a workout and sometimes you're not. Sometimes you're not hungry and sometimes you're starving. Sometimes you could care less about sex and other times it's all you can think about. Just don't worry about it. Worrying about it only harms you psychologically and physiologically.

Guess I'll wait and see. Tomorrow, 0500, dead lifts........I really need all the energy I can get. Hope I'm up for it. Thanks again Frosty.......i appreciate the words of wisdom.

Just an update - this mornings workout sucked tremendously, but I sort of expected that. I had very little energy. But I have 5980cals and 402g protein for the day, so I feel alot better now. Thanks for the boost of confidence guys.........I really appreciate it.

OOPS.......I forgot to add a couple of things to my FitDay food page - actual calories today are 6372. Still 402g protein though. Feels awesome! Thanks again.

Wow thats a lot. I gained about 20 pounds on my cycle already still have about 6 weeks left and I know that if I ate that many calories even for my size Id store a lot of fat. (6' 2" 260lbs) I should really try to raise my calories a little over 5000. When I was eating 5000 I noticed more fat storage though.

I hear ya about the fat. I have stored a little subcutaneous fat from all the calories, but it's not too bad, just in the mid section. In a little over 6 weeks I have added 25lbs, natural. Some, like I said, is fat, but I don't mind. It will all come off later on. I'm 5'10 and now at 195lbs. (started at 170) I estimate about 15-16%bf now, but thats gonna happen with all the calories. Frosty finally got me to stop worrying about gaining some fat. I read that article just about every day, just for motivation. When the gains stop though, I'll start a cycle. I want a lean 225. Don't know if its possible for me, but I'm sure gonna give it one hell of a try!

Seriously mate, do you think the OP is still waiting to hear your response after ten years? You'd hope he'd figured out whether that one day was going to hinder his gains by now.
