Really high testosterone on TRT

My pre-trt (Quest Diagnostics)

LH=2.0 (1.5-9.3 miu/ml)
FSH=2.1 (1.6-8.0 miu/ml)

This test was done while the first doctor had me on DHEA to try to raise my T naturally. I don't even want to talk about that.
It did nothing for my T. It just raised my DHEA.

My post-trt

Doctor said that my LH and FSH were inhibited, but I did not ask for labs at that time.

For further reference my estrogen is now at <50 (130 or less pg/ml)

You are secondary. A restart might work for you. I would try it if I were you.

Megatron I can't thank you enough for your input and advice.

I think I ended up this way due to steroid use. Back in the early 90's steroids were still being found in otc supplements and I took some not knowing.

I also used pro-hormones when they were legal in 2007.

A word of caution to all.

A quick update. I have not taken my arimidex since November 28 (5 days). The haze has started to lift and started to feel better today. I am still not 100 percent though. But I would say I am around 80 percent.
I spoke with the doctor today and he suggested I try 0.5 mg every five days, so I just finished taking that dose now. I have bloodwork this Thursday and I am due for my cyp shot.
By next week I should have my blood work results and will update everyone on my results.
I asked about going on clomid alone and he said that it would raise my testosterone but would negatively affect me in other ways.

Clomid is used for a restart attempt. So for a short finite period of time. It isn't used permanently for TRT. I would discuss it with him again.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

I only skimmed, but HOLY ADEX batman ask your doc if he thinks you have cancer, thats about the only reason anyone should be taking that much.

I know I learn from many other experiences on the site, so a quick update.

I started pinning 100mg every five days, unbeknownst to my doctor who recommended 200mg every 10 days. I also dropped the adex to 0.5 every five days and started feeling a little better. However I still haven't got my mojo back. I dropped the adex down to 0.25 every five days to see if I can regain my well being this week.

I did some blood work which I should be getting back next week at my appointment. I plan to report back on those results.

Question on a re-start
I have had t levels in the mid 300's to the low 400's for about the last ten years. This year (43 yo) I started getting the fatigue , foggy head, no results in the gym.... symptoms typical to low t. Ironically my levels measured at two different labs, one at 400 and the other 475. I never had any issues with sex. This was pre trt numbers.

Is a re-start even worth a shot? I felt great in the mid 600's on trt (100 mg every two weeks) before my estrogen shot up to 135 and been dancing with the devil ever since.

Is it worthwhile attempting a restart if I felt like crap at 400-475?

Thanks

dude you should be doing .25mg the day after your shot and your estrogen should be fine at 100mg weekly.. 100mg eow is too little. and remember you had prop in that mix..

im running 200mg a week right now shot twice weekly..

have you thought about sub q injections?

I started doing .25 adex the day of the shot. I will adjust to the day after shot. Thanks

I am no longer on prop. Just straight cyp. Thats when the problems started.

When I was on the pharmacy compounded cyp/prop I felt great and everything was in check. That was at 100 mg evert two weeks!!!

Once I switched doctors and I went straight cyp, 100 mg every two weeks, it was when my estrogen went up.

He upped me to 200mg cyp every 10 days and adex and crashed my estrogen. Been struggling since.

so i do sub q injections because research shows that it helps keep your estrogen in check... i will see how its working out for me in a few weeks when i do bloodwork...

ill make sure to keep you guys updated..

i can tell you that i already feel great... and hope that it continues this way.. want to do my first blast when i find out whats going to make me stable.. lol

Depends. Do you have primary or secondary hypogonadism?

Sorry to rehash, but I think you guys can understand my frustration

Megatron:

My pre-trt (Quest Diagnostics)

LH=2.0 (1.5-9.3 miu/ml)
FSH=2.1 (1.6-8.0 miu/ml)

I think you said I am secondary based on those numbers. I will repeat that even at 400-475 I felt exhausted all the time. That was my primary issue, along with the typical peripheral low t symptoms.
If a restart could get me in the low 600's I think I would be set.

I went by the doctor's office today to get lab results.

My testosterone is at 1429 and my estrogen jumped up to 180 from 135.

That is after dosing at 200mg every two weeks and stopping my adex for five days. I took 1mg adex 4 days prior to this blood draw.
Previous to stopping for five days I was on 1mg adex daily which I believe crashed my estrogen.

Doctor dropped me to 175mg every two weeks and said to continue 1mg adex daily.

I plan on splitting the 175mg dose every five days and doing 1mg adex every other day.

Thoughts???

I have my actual appointment with the doctor next week.

biweekly shots do not work...this is why your labs are out of whack. You need to:

1. start at 50mg every 3.5 days of test.
2. stop adex until you are sure you need it after switching to shots every 3.5 days.

I appreciate your input.

Can I ask this:

I was on a pharmacy compounded blend of test c and prop 250 for about a month and was doing fantastic. I was doing 100mg every two weeks. My test was 626 and estrogen was in check.

Why would a switch to straight test c 100 mg bi weekly cause my estrogen to jump up?

when did you test yourself at 626 and good estrogen....trough, middle, or peak?

I know i'm sounding like a broken record with the above response because I asked it on another post a little bit ago. However, it makes a HUGE difference to know when your labs were drawn.

Please brother no need to worry about sounding like a broken record.

Labs were done on a trough.

Ok. In my opinion, you were likely far above range in both tests for the first week of your shot. A trough at 2 week intervals is not a ideal way to assess your self.

I don't know why your estrogen would go any higher just taking out prop...propionate is a shorter acting ester, so it shouldn't have made things last longer than just cyp. either.
