I have recently been prescribed Reandron (testosterone undecanoate) for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I was wondering about taking some Test booster but I have read here and there about it being a waste of time.

I am new to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and dont understand how it will effect me test wise in supplements or if I was to do a cycle. Not thinking of doing a cycle at the moment but a mate did ask me other day if i wanted to do one with him. It got me thinking is all.

Read through the forums, usually when requesting advice you'd want to provide some history of symptoms and lab panels so people can help stir you on the right direction.

well the only info I have is that the doctor said I am currently 5.8 for test.

He said I should be between 8 - 30. So I am guessing push to get close to 30 mark.

Are you in the USA? If so you should be able to call the Dr's office or stop by and request for copies of your labs. Aside from total T tests he/she must have also requested other lab work (estrogen, prolactin, free testosterone, LH, FSH, lipids, IGF-1, SHBG, etc.)

If he/she didn't then you need get them done or find another doctor who will. I would NOT take any form of T without first knowing what my other numbers look like.

I am in Australia. I am not sure what test he did. Doctors here usually dont hand over the results. I could ask him next time though.
What are the things I should ask him to test for in case he is not used to dealing with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I could go to a specialist in the field but they are expensive.

I imagined your doctor prescribed you testosterone because your levels were low and the reason why you got tested was because you expressed some concerns to your doctor with regards to issues associated with low T.

You don't cycle T for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) purposes, you can of course but that won't have any effect on you, you may feel good for the first 2-3 weeks and then if you stop you will feel worse than before until your body readjusts itself to your natural levels.

What type of information are you looking for really? Have you been researching the board?

The bottom line is if you have low T symptoms, injecting exogenous T will make you feel better but there may be side effects that will need to be controlled, some of which are high levels of estrogen, it all depends on your body, how much and how often you inject, etc.

The good thing is that you've come to the right place, there's lots of info in this forum to read and learn from. Good luck.
