recommendations on avoiding elevation of e2

Hello everyone,
TiredGuy here - long time low t sufferer (I think), but only recently diagnosed. latest # was 383 total. I found some old bloodwork from 2009 with about the same T figure - no wonder I've felt like crap for so long. unfortunately in 2009 I fell into the 'normal range' trap.

looks like my alternatives (due to insurance/cost) are androgel and shots. first choice of the doc was axiron, but insurance denied that and it was going to be almost 500 bucks a month. oh well.

I will probably have to go with androgel first. one of my main concerns is spiking my estrogen level. I've always been the chubby kid, and don't want any more in the boob category than I already suffer from. so I am considering adding an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to the mix. I may have to go at it alone for this part.

anyone have informal recommendations? I haven't had my e2 tested yet, as I forgot to get that done with my most recent bloodwork. sorry for the lack of many other figures.

thanks!

Lowering your body-fat will help aromatization and also help with your cardiovascular health in general. Low t and higher body fat go hand in hand, if you are under thirty that could be one of the largest things maiming your testosterone production as higher bf strongly correlate with high estrogen and high estrogen correlates with low testosterone.

I don't know if this is your case but just wanted to throw that out there, if you are under 30 that could be your main boulder that you need to break to get your t levels. Getting complete lab work done and having a diagnosis rather just throwing you on the gel could help.

Like I said, this may or may not pertain to you. It's just something that is overlooked quite often.
