there is a set of scales under everyone avatar and any member can click that scale and give either positive or negative rep to one of your post. you can view this rep by clicking your usercp button on the upper left corner of any forum page.

How many points do I give out when I rep someone? i know certain folks rep is worth more, I think.

if it works the same way as other forms

1000 rep power = 1 rep point

repping someone gives them rep points, equal to the number of power you repped with


so if somebody has 1, and gets repped by someone with 1000 rep power, that person gets 1000 rep points, and now has 2 rep power (instead of the previous 1).



additionally, most forums give 1 additional rep power for every year the account has existed, and for every 1000 posts made. You can see i have 2 rep points, despite only having 44 rep power (you start with 1 point i think)
